this is titled with the again because i had almost finished this masterpiece of a tr and
my fat fingers hit something and i lost everything. years ago i think on this board
someone wrote how to get everything that you deleted back on the screen. please
tell me again how to do it.
anyway
again, denise and i went down to the flamingo pool at 8:30 to get our cabana. we were
there the day before, and i asked the security guard which one we should get. she told
me the far right one as you're looking across the pool. it's on the lower level but not
close to the food/drink bar.
after reserving the cabana we wanted denise and i went to the cafe in the flamingo
for breakfast. i had eggs and something. denise had the fruit plate with yogurt
and banana bread. i won. denise was in a hurry to get to the pool. i wanted to
finish my breakfast and relax. it will be over 100 degrees outside today.
i finished bkfast and went to our cabana. john, our cabana boy, was there and was
great. he set up our chairs outside the cabana but also set up four chairs with a
reserved sign down by the pool which were totally in the sun. this turned out to be
a major point for the day.
the three girls made it down to the pool/cabana around 11. they were out last night
to the ghost bar, etc. my parents never did this!
heather, our cabana host who i do have a photo of with me but don't know how to
put them on this tr so you can't see how nice looking she is, introduced herself and
took care of us the whole day. we decided to get the $125 bottle of vodka(i know)
since the drinks were at least $15 apiece. we got the fruit plate and three mixers
of orange juice, cranberry, diet cola, or something else that i don't remember.
the bottle was the good play for us. the four girls finished it with one $5 refill for
some juice. we had a fruit plate, water, fan, misters, tv, safe, chairs, towels
and reserved chairs. sarah, our 21 but 23 year old who is the reason we're here,
loves the cabana.
the water is just right. you wouldn't get a seat without the cabana or waiting a
long time. it's in the 100's.
i pooled it for about two hours and went in to gamble. played vp. was down
about 300 but hit two 4 of a kinds on ddb for a final profit.
went back to the pool to settle up. tipped heather and john $60 each. they both were
very good and attentive. heather explained our bill and said she would receive about
$30 from the pool rental and john would get about $15.
all of us went back to shower. we met downstairs and walked to the Ven to Zeffirinos for
supper. a bit pricey, but i had pasta with shrimp and clams. very good. no desert. we
are all stuffed.
the three girls, julia, sarah, and jamie, went to see the Bellagio fountains. denise and i
went back to the room at 10:00. my friend rick is in town and said he would call so we
could meet tonight. denise and i laid down at 10 and didn't wake up until i closed the
drapes at 4:00 am. we must have been {tired}.
i woke at 7:00. learned that the girls did the same thing after getting back to
the hotel at 11:00. I told them that the sun would get to us today by the pool.
