tuesday, last day.
after everyone was in their room at 11:00 last night because of spending the day at the cabana,
(heather, sigh) we all were awake around 8:30. the girls said they would tell their friends they were
out so late and drank so much they didn't remember getting to the room.
jamie took a cab to the airport around 9:30. the rest of us went to the cafe in flamingo for
breakfast. it was relaxing. our last 10 hours, what to do. we walked south to nyny. i have been
on the roller coaster and won't go again. it's too bumpy/jarring/not a smooth kind of a ride. i
didn't tell my girls and they hit the ride. they agreed that it wasn't the best roller coaster but glad
to have done it.
we headed to mgm to the lions exhibit. there were three young lions in the viewing area. two were
actually playing with a ball, one was lazing around, and the two young handlers were doing what they do.
decided to take the tram back to flamingo instead of the 30 minute walk. the three girls hit the pool for
the last time. i the vp machines. played the one i hit two four of a kinds on with no luck for about
$200. said the heck with it and went to the high limit area and played the $5 wof. first $100 nothing.
second $100 had a spin about $70 in for $500. cashed out and told myself that's it for the trip.
went back to the room. the girls were finishing showers and packing. i went to the dia/plat check-in
yesterday and got another night just for the showers. another reason going with just the guys ain't bad.
we're all packed. went across the street at caesars to serendipity for lunch. my first time there. this is a
nice place. food is good. strip prices. sandwich place.
left flamingo without checking out. they used all my points for the cabana. filled up the dadollac next
to ellis island. $15 for our time. the cost of the car was 120. cabs would have been about the same,
but i like knowing i/we can go wherever/whenever.
check-in for flight good. we're there 1 1/2 hours before scheduled flight. i admit i am anal about
being early/on time. well, we were. flight was an hour late leaving! plane was late coming to vegas.
i noticed our first day on the trip all these tall, young, in shape guys. i told denise there's something
going on in town. sure enough, there was a nationwide high school basketball tourney in town this week.
man-o-man, am i short. we had half a plane load on our trip back.
plane ride. i think around denver we hit major turbulence. plane was going up and down a good bit. pilot came on and said he was going a couple miles out of our way to lose this storm.
landed in milwaukee an hour late. called the car place. they were there in ten minutes. we were home
at 2:20 instead of 1:00. fine for me. julila had to get up at 6:30 to go to work in chicago. ah, youth.
overall a nice trip. daughters had a good time. cabana, show, clubs, mom and dad paying. not the
gambling i usually do. i hope to hit vegas one more time with the guys this year year. if not, ok.
our room at flamingo looked at bally's. left the blinds open at night until about 4:00. nice to see the
lights on the strip.
only used mirage buffet coup from the lav book. i had two. saved about $50 four our five meals.
like i said........i really need to get back with the guys!!!
