I think John is at a crossroads
-- he comes from poverty and makes money now . You know once you've pulled yourself up w/ your own boot-straps how snobby the nevo riche can be..
BUT/YET
as you read he poo-poos public transportation and I wonder what he makes of my coupons and deals...
Moderation in all things- I hope he sees there is no shame in looking for deals.

One question though......what exactly is Diamond renewal? Obviously CET, but with added perks for the weekend? Regardless, sounds like a good time. Loved the Stu and Louie bit. And John, with a little training......

catcher for me is the spa coupons and jacuzzis.....I don't do this
myself, but when I read yours I keep reminding myself that it's time
to try them!

Maybe you could put the coupons and deals angle to John like this: It's a way for you to end up having more money for other things that you want (if you're going to be playing anyway -- although on the other hand, I don't encourage people possibly getting too carried away with chasing after comps).

And maybe he can get to the idea of looking for deals as a challenge to see how much he can get and how little he can pay for it.

Maybe you can even ask him what he thinks of you and the other LVAers having all of these deals and coupons?

Hopefully he will see that it is a good thing and that maybe he should try to aim for that!
