my newest bestest friend lou, who is 7 stars at harrahs, was invited to go to st. louis for the
packer/rams game. again, his son and two friends couldn't make it; so, i was the you're invited guy.
i don't mind. i don't expect it, and it's a nice surprise. his host was former harrahs who works at
L'miere(sp) just across the street from the football stadium. they are affiliated with pinnacle.
8 of us flew free out of milwaukee 10-20. 55 minute flight to st. louis. met at the airport with shuttle. two others would be joining us.
stayed at the four seasons across from the football stadium. rooms were goofed up. each pair should have
two queens. my room ended with tom using the king bed and me in a delivered rollaway. tom is taller than
i am, so i volunteered and it worked out fine. the rollaway was comfortable.
we all met at the check-in area. lou's host came and led us to the casino, which is right next to
our hotel. she made sure we all got cards......diamonds and lou were upgraded right away.
it was 4pm, and we made dinner reservations at the sports bar for 8pm. we all split up and went our
gambling ways.
i'm just adding now that larry hit a $3,200 slot within the first two hours. he was playing a $5 machine. he said that he hasn't seen as many pay outs for a long time.
before we left i went on vpfree to find the good machines. there is decent .25 job and .50 1.00 almost everything else that i play. lost right away. i hit the $5 craps table and was plus about $130 when they changed to a $10 table. of course, the first four shooters, me included, established a number and after a few
rolls 7nd out. so, this was a losing table.
i made my way to our reservation. no surprise that i was the first one there. this place has a nice
selection of tap beers. i ordered one and waited for the others. five of the rest arrived. rick and joe
went to harrahs st. louis to check in for rick's son and joe's nephew. they played there the rest of
the night. lou was not happy about this since he/we were getting so much on this trip that, of course,
we all should play here. six of us ate. my meal was not so good. something bar-be-que. lou didn't like his ribeye at all. tom had the fillet and said it was very good.
after dinner we split up and gambled some more before hitting the hay at 12:00.
we were the chicago group if we wanted to go up to their equivalent to a diamond lounge. food is
served at 5:00. there was always a line for the fresh food. nothing special. drinks were free, just tips.
there were many hosts working this room.
oh. after dinner i walked outside on the river side. there is a cobble stone street with some 6-8 bars.
i hit one that has a brewery and had a beer. there were a lot of green bay fans out and about. i didn't
walk around as i usually do in vegas. i don't know st. louis at all; so, didn't want to be daring/stupid.
sunday game next
