If they truely cared about the pets, they wouldn't have them in the casino. If they cared about the rules or other PEOPLE, they wouldn't have a dog swimming in the hotel pool....notice it was very early before security was around. They knew it was against the rules and didn't care. All this adds up to selfish & rude, pure and simple.

I really don't like dogs, even tho I've tried. The biggest mistake you can make is that everyone loves your dog as much as you do. Same goes for kids, and I have 3 of those!

I agree.Unless it's a service dog,the casino is no place for pets.Especially anywhere near where people eat or drink.

People have mentioned the harnesses as a way of identifying service animals. There are websites that offer these harnesses for people who want to take their pets everywhere but don't want to be told they can't. There is a woman who brings her dog wearing a service harness to walk around town. I've known her for a number of years and asked about the harness. She's the one who told me about the websites. Once again, people have found a way to get around the ADA regulations.

My 4 dog pack of cocker spaniels would love to come with me, but they have a much nicer time at the kennel than they would being locked up in a crate when I go to eat or gamble. They are too short to be guide dog imposters and too heavy to carry around in a purse.
I have seen service dogs in casinos and the noise and smoke as others have said is just not in their best interest.

The best hotel vacation I've taken with my dogs was to Mammoth, we took them hiking during the day and at night they boarded at the veterinarians. They got to spend time with us and we could go out at night and not have to worry about them being in the hotel room.

I seriously doubt service dogs or any dog is allowed to swim in the hotel pool. Considering they were swimming around 5 am, before pool hours, indicates a lack of respect for the rules. As for the others, it is hard to say. I see more and more people binging their small dogs with them wherever they go.

I have 4 small lap dogs. I take them to many places and 2 of them should have frequent flyer numbers. In fact they are coming with me next month and we will be staying in Primm. Reason dog show. Will I be dragging them around the casino or letting them swim in the pool. Um no! They will stay in crates when their not being walked or unsupervised. They are used to this and are very well behaved. I've seen people with dogs on the strip and casinos and think they need to get a grip. On the other hand I've seen a lot of dogs that are cleaner and much better behaved then a lot of people.

When you walk on the pedestrian walkways you will see several people with dogs that have the service vests. I doubt very seriously that these dogs are service animals since they are asking for handouts. It seems to be a bunch of them working the bridges. It is very disheartening to see the folks using the animals to make money.

I have seen some of the folks afterward on the stip working, with the dogs. Now that there is a curfew for the animals I wonder how many people will still do it...There was a guy between Bellagio and Caesars with a cat on a leash...gish...
