Thanks, guys.  Tex, Vegas isn't going to be the place for BBQ for you, the bar is set pretty high in Texas.  I've been hearing about the BBQ at EI forever, though, still need to get there.  By the way, has anyone tried Project BBQ at Circa?  I imagine that it's pretty expensive, wondering about the quality.  As for Binions, their hamburger in the coffee shop has deteriorated badly since the olden days; is the one at Whiskey LIcker Up any better?

Not sure what to make of the MPs, it's been a lean four or five years.  Sucks on this tail of the bell curve.

Skip Project BBQ.  Not very good, expensive and not big portions.

The burgers at Whiskey Licker Up (and everything else there) are way, way better than at Binion's Cafe. Take a look at the photos on the menu:  https://whiskeylickerup.com/  Just my opinion of course.

Of course, given that their burgers start at $18, they'd better be pretty damn good. In fact, for that price, I expect to have an orgasm when I bite into it.

BBQ Ellis Island The ribs great The beans good The corn OK. Huge portions

Can't  beat 2 for 1. Hours limited 4p to 10p.

Thanks, Patricia.  I still haven't made it to EI; gonna be tough deciding between the BBQ (probably better food) and the steak (probably better deal) when I do.

Having had both at least a dozen times, I can say that the steak dinner is the winner for value--insanely cheap for what you get, and quality about an 8/10--and the BBQ is the winner for sheer quality, about the best I've ever had, and pretty inexpensive with the in-house coupon discount.

Either one makes for a great meal for a great price (damn near a unicorn in that part of Vegas), so the tiebreaker may be if you have an LVA coupon in hand, which would allow you to feed two people at the BBQ for the price of a visit to McDreck's. (Oh, and the steak dinner has historically been a no-coupon zone, aside from the $3 kiosk coupon).

If you have a food & drink credit from Ellis Island, can you combine that with the kiosk coupon for the steak special or BBQ? (That is, get the coupon discount and pay for the balance with the food credit.)

Can you use the LVA coupon at Ellis Island and use a food credit for the balance?

I've used players' club points to do that, but what you have may be something different. I'd say, try it, and if they say no, well, you'll just have to come back the next day.

Ellis Island BBQ good. Especially 2 for 1 LVA coupon.

Also the servings are huge like most food in Las Vegas.

Saying that the side are fair. Corn seem pre frozen, the beans OK.

But again huge servings So really not a complaint.Yet how I see it.
