Rec - thanks for reading the TR. Kolaches are apparently big in certain parts of the country including Texas wherever this is a sizeable Czech population. These pastries traditionally had a dollop of fruit surrounded by pastry. The ones I saw in the display case had either a hot dog or sausage in them so I assume those are consumed at lunch time. I might give them a try some afternoon if I am in the area.
