Ok I left off Saturday the 7th, just lost $100 at PHo, 4x cherry machine. Walked over to high card flush and bought in fon $100. Normally the table isn't open til 11 but I was told a large group wanted to play so at 8:30 they pulled a pai gow dealer and opened it at $5 minimum. I sat down around 9:45. There was a guy from North Carolina on my right and a couple from Cali on my left. They had all been playin since around 9. We had a really fun dealer and we were all winning hands here and there, enough to keep us playing. At 11 they opened the rest of the tables in the pit and changed it to $10 but let us keep playing. I ended up cashing out close to 11:20 and had doubled my money so I was even for the morning.
Next stop, the mirage, I had redeemed a myvegas for admission to the secret garden. There were baby tigers on display from 12-4. I walked down and went to the mlife desk to get my voucher. The most unfriendly woman helped me. Voucher in hand I make my way to the secret garden and got on the short line, the one for proof with tickets. Girl at the booth told me voucher said it was a BOGO, I said no, supposed to be a solo free. She told me I had to go back for a different voucher but said come back to her when I had it. Went back to mlife, ms. personality was gone so the nice lady that helped me said, yes, I was given the wrong voucher, fixed it and sent me on my way. Back to the booth and quickly had my ticket and off to see the babies. Oh my gosh they were the cutest things ever. One white one and one orange one. There was a lady in the playroom with them and they were jumping all over her and she'd gently push them away. The white one curled up in her lap and sucked on her finger and started to fall asleep until the orange on came over to play. So cute! Almost all the larger animals were up an about. I'm not a cat person but I am a BIG cat person. I then went to watch the dolphins for awhile. It was a very good use of myvegas points and a nice distraction from losing money.
I walked back to the Cromwell to play double triple wild cherry. I put $100 in and played awhile, long enough to order an espresso martini thinking surely they would get it right......ummm no, again I got espresso and vodka, at least it was cold. I lost my $100 and sat down at a 3 card table and bought in for $100. The group at the table must have been playing awhile because they knew the name of every dealer that came to the table. The pit boss was great. I must have been the only diamond player at the table because any to a cocktail server came close the pit boss would ask me if I'd like anything. She was very nice, asked me where I was staying and encouraged me to stay ther next trip although she warned me that the rooms were small. I needed to head towards Pho at 3 to meet my host so I cashed out at 2:45 and had doubled my money so I left Cromwell even. I like this! I ran back to my room to buzz the hubby to see if any of our parlays had won and he told me which ones to tear up. Off to the pho diamond lounge. They always have "special" drinks so it tried the silver star lemon drop martini. My host came by and a visited for a few minutes, I had a a bunch of questions for her about my trip with my friends in May. She left and I decided I ought to another one of those martinis since I was not having luck with my espresso experiment. I ordered another one and waited a few minutes for them to start serving hot food. This time food was from BLT Steak. I can't remember what they had besides short ribs and salad, but it was good.
Back to Ballys to slot around on the dollar slots and around 7 I head to the gift wrap event to see what my points were. Woo hoo, enough for the bigger Dooney purse! I went to check out, then went back to the front where you could have your pic taken with Santa. Had my pic taken and was told to come back in 15 minutes. I went to Ballys for a few minutes and went back to get my pics. They gave me 2. Yay, now I don't have to go to the mall....and stand in line.....behind little kids! I took my pics to the room and called hubby where he told me we had officially lost all our parlays but I won the OU game. I was getting hungry so I went to Mon Ami and grabbed a seat at the bar closest to the strip. I ordered a salad, steak frites and a glas of Pinot noir. I was able to charge it to my room and use my credit. Dinner before tip was $53, credit was $50. It was ok that's about all. I haven't eaten dinner there in years, I remember it being better. I guess I'll stick to breakfast there, it's always awesome.
I went back to Ballys, more dollar slots, I was getting some good play and hit a few nice jackpots, the had to head over to Paris to try the $5 top dollar again. I put in $100 and a 3rd spin I hit a bonus, not a big one but I'll take it. Cocktail server stopped and I ordered my espresso martini and what she brought back was perfection! Lesson learned, only order them at Paris, Old Homestead and Mastros. I hit 4 other bonuses, got as high as $800 so I cashed at $400. Back to Ballys for some more dollars, then decided to call it a night at 1:30. I found Andrew and said goodbye, see you in February. I had earned 2500 TC's so I got the 5000 bump. I looked at my tier score and was around 34,600. I packed my suitcase and crawled in bed and thought hmmm, 34,600 plus 5,000 is 39,600, soooo closed to aspiration level 1. My wake up call was 6:30 so I was up and ready at 7. I needed to get a cab by about 8:10 so I thought what the hell, I'm this close, let's see if I can get 500 TC's and get the 125 bump and hot that level for the first time. I found my favorite dollar machine and by 8:00 I had earned 500 + TC's. I got an email today from total rewards congratulating me on making diamond aspiration level one, so that starts me at 5000 TC's in January. I also think with the carry over bonus I have another 2500 TC's to start the year.
I loaded up on Ethel M for the hubby and picked up a box for my stepmom. Flight was on time, I slept most of the way. It was a fun short trip, even if the boss did goof and told me the wrong weekend. Today at work I asked if they had a good time and he said YES and they definitely want to go with us when we go next Fall.
My host mentioned linking hubby and I's accounts. I know our mlife accounts are linked. Does anyone know anything about linking CET accounts? Do the TC's we both earn get pooled? I'm curious . We plan to ask her about it when we go back.
Thanks for reading and thanks to all who post reports to keep me occupied between trips.
