Feb 18-20 Weekend Getaway-Downtown/Bill's/etc.

TR not to long. Enjoyed reading it
A breakfast buffet is the buffet of choice these days when we do a buffet. For the price MSS is fine.
A $3 surcharge for a Blue Moon and you are at a $10 crap table. That sucks.
Last time I was in Bills except for the crowd watching Big Elvis the place was not crowded. I guess the word about the surcharge was out.
Isn't all beer at Bills draft these days?

I think I left it out of the trip report but we did play craps at bills for about 15-20 minutes on our way to harrah's. I was able to get a couple blue moons at a $5 craps table at bills without a problem...granted they are served in their super tiny glasses.

Harrah's is the only place I've ever been told that there is a surcharge. I even did a google search to see if it was maybe the cocktail waitress's error and found a similar complaint on tripadvisor from people that were playing mid range slots...don't remember if it was $1 or $5 machines but either way I think it is ridiculous to nickel and dime like that as it really puts a bad taste in the customers' mouth
Thanks fellow Southern Californian for that report which was definitely not too long (although I don't think that I will ever find a too long report). I say this because the more detailed the report, the better it is for me because you never know what good nuggets of information that you might end up finding!

So thanks again for posting and it definitely sounds like you and your GF had a nice time even though the final tally was not a positive one!

It was definitely a fun trip. Short but fun. I enjoy the variety of trip reports that are posted on here. I'm sure if we lived on the east coast our trips would be very different...but since we are less than 4 hours away and our only real cost to get there is gas & general car maintenance, we can do little trips every few months and not have to worry about booking flights, jet lag, etc. Even with a short trip we feel like we get our moneys worth. One day we'll hopefully be able to do a week long trip...after so many short trips I'd like to see what we'd end up doing with all that extra free time...seems like an interesting experiment. Our longest trip is still only 3 nights. Looking forward to our next trip in May

I'm a little late to the game reading this, but thoroughly enjoyed the "long" report. Where's the pic of you and the cop?
That's terrible being charged $3 at Harrah's. Hope all the CET properties are not doing that. Looking forward to your May TR. Thanks for sharing!!
Here ya go
Great trip report! Just the perfect amount of detail.

I can't believe there was a $3 surcharge for a Blue Moon. The only time I've ever heard of a surcharge for anything was about 5 years ago when we were at IP and my cousin wanted a vodka/Red Bull and they were going to charge me $2 extra for the Red Bull. I can kind of understand that, but $3 for a sort of premium beer? Ridiculous. Reinforces why I refuse to play at any Harrah's property during my August trip.
NICE!
