Finally hit a Royal Flush!!!

Just got back from a three night trip to LV. Stayed at Planet Hollywood with my brother. Second time at Planet Hollywood, stayed there the first time with my wife. Its okay, love the employees, they always seem very accommodating; although I think I will stick with Bally’s as my home base.

Anyway we got to LV on Tuesday April 16th about 7:30AM. Check in was fast and uneventful.

Are first day spent the whole time walking the strip and gambling at different places. My brother does not go to LV as much as I do, so he wanted to see some of the changes and impending changes.

We played video poker and sports bet all day but had no luck at all.

Day two we started the day eating at the Buchanel (don’t know if spelling right) buffet at Creasers Palace. This was my third time eating here. Even though its expensive I do love their breakfast buffet.

After breakfast we headed downtown and hit the VP machines at the Four Queens. We were playing dollars and finally hit quad queens. We usually play the same machine together as it gives us time to catch up and talk. We live within 2o minutes of each other back in Texas, but do to our hectic schedules we don’t get to see each other a lot, so we use this time to catch up.

Anyways while playing, a little old lady stood behind us the whole time and just watched. Afterwards my brother said it kind of creeped him out. I responded I thought it was nice to have a fan even if its only one.

We left the Queen and walked to The D where we played the Sigma Derby machine up stairs. I hit a 136 to 1 long shot for $ 80.00 bucks.

After that we went to the Golden Gate where we hit our second quad of the trip with four fives. After playing we ate at Dupars were I finally got to try the pancakes. I thought they were pretty good.

We headed back to the strip to check our sports bets, which we had no luck on. And the rest of the day on VP was pretty bad as well.

Keep reading the part about the Royal Flush is coming soon, I promise.

The third day we saw the Beatles Love show at the Mirage. I thought it was great and would defiantly see it again.

Our VP luck turned around. After the show we walked to Casino Royal and played the Double Double Bonus dollar machines. Hit four 4’s for $ 400 and hit another quad of Kings before we left. Walked over to the Flamingo and played a $2 machine. We did not hit 4OK but cashed out up $ 300.

We were leaving the next day, although our flight was not till 8PM. We checked our luggage and walked around. Went to the Sports Book at Bally’s and looked dover the games. I did not like anything so I headed to the casino while my brother played the Pony’s for a bit.

My brother caught up with me in the Bally’s casino just after I hit quad queens on a dollar machine. This put him in the mood to play some more VP.

We walked into the High Limit Pit at Bally’s and played a $2 machine together. About 15 minutes into our play we were dealt a 10 of diamonds, jack of diamonds, king of spades, king of diamonds and ace of diamonds. We held everything but the king of spades, throwing away a winning hand to go for the Royal. I pressed the deal button and BAM!, the queen of diamonds comes up, ROYAL FLUSH!!!! This was mine and his first Royal and on a $ 2 machine for $ 8,000. I got hand paid and split the money with my brother. I took the W2G as it would effect me less then my brothers at Tax time.

After getting paid we played the $2 machine next to the one we hit on. We hit quad fives for $ 500 and played it up to $ 1,000 before cashing out. While playing this machine we had another opportunity to go for a Royal in clubs and ended up with ace, king, queen, jack and Nine of clubs. So close, yet so far away.

Anyways it was time to get to the airport, so we walked back to Planet Hollywood, got out luggage and headed to the airport.

The flight back was one of the most pleasant flights I have ever had after leaving Las Vegas.

I hope to make it back to LV during the football season.
Wow, that is fantastic!
Oh, what a feeling!!

And, I love Sigma Derby...honestly, I could play it for hours! We don't usually make it downtown, but must might have to next time.

Thanks so much for the wonderful report!

Congrats!!!!! May you hit many more of them!!!
Great report. Winning makes everything seem better. Thanks for posting.
Congrat's . You seem to hit quite a bit and did much in a short time. Family is grand.
Enjoyed your TR - great Royal story! I would have split that jackpot w/my brother 60/40 though if sucking up the W-2!
Congrats on your 1st Royal! Both my husband and I got our first royals last summer in Vegas - we'd been playing vp for 10 yrs now so it was a long time coming. We only play quarter vp and were happy for our $1,000 royal so I can imagine how an $8,000 royal would be!

BTW, where in Texas do you live - we are in the Dallas area.
Thanks JanaBanana, I am in Texas City, it's between Houston and Galveston.
