Flamingo 7/20 - 7/23

Had a Sunday morning Southwest 8:30 flight out of Midway. Left our house at 6:30am, which normally would be plenty of time to get to the airport - but sometimes the unexpected happens. After initially heading towards Chicago rather than the airport (along with hitting a bird!) we reversed direction and arrived at Midway about 7am- only to have a big backup getting into the airport due to construction. The check-in line for Southwest was very long - as was the TSA line. It was now after 8am and we were preparing ourselves for missing the flight. Two kind strangers let us go ahead of them - we grabbed our stuff from the x-ray belt and ran to the gate - boarded with 2 minutes to spare. Flight was uneventful, but our luggage did not make it and would be delivered by 6pm.

Rented a car and arrived at Flamingo about noon to find a huge check-in line. Finally got to our room and found the keys did not work. Got new keys only to find out the toilet was broken. However, we were just happy to be there!
Met my aunt at a local's place in Henderson called Club Fortune and had lunch. Stopped at Southpoint and did some gambling at Casino Royale. Went to the food court in back of Casino Royale to the hot dog place to get a quick bite but they were out of hot dogs! How does that happen when that is all they sell?

Monday - Had breakfast at the Monte Carlo buffet then shopping at PHW Miracle mile shops. Dinner at Mirage buffet and then Beatles Love (which was an amazing show) all compliments of myVegas.

Tuesday - Breakfast at the Bellagio buffet. Played the $50 free slot play at Casino Royale. Took the SDX to Fremont St and played blackjack at Golden Gate. Saw Adam London at the "D" which was a nice way to kill an hour. Had dinner at Magnolia's (2:1 from LVA) which was pretty good. Spent the rest of the night playing slots - Tom got hooked on the Paradise fishing game and my new favorite is "The Gold"slot.

All in all a good trip - ended up breaking even. LVA coupons and myVegas really help keep expenses down.

Very nice! Thanks for the report!

As for shopping at the Miracle Mile Shops, I hope you were able to get discount coupons for there through either using a possible coupon that has been in the LV Freebie Magazines or by showing (if you're a member of it) the Auto Club (AAA) card!

Good use of the LVA MRB coupons and I feel that breaking even is basically having a lot of fun playing for Free!

wow, you would think you would have some luck after all the hassle you put up with just to finally settle in your room! All trips are good trips...........
Sounds like you still managed to have a fun time even with the inconveniences. I love the LVA and ACG they can sure make a difference.

Congratulations on not getting totally bummed by the glitches early on. Broken toilet...that would have been the straw for me. Assumming it got fixed pronto?

Anyway you enjoyed your trip, the main thing. Thanks for reporting.
