From Fremont to Fountainebleau. Thoughts from a VP hustler

Robert,

Matthew is a  Youtube/internet influencer from Canada that comes to Vegas often.  He frequents various places on the strip and downtown and really enjoys Oscar's Steakhouse at the Plaza.  There was also a donut store over by Fremont Street that would give you a free donut if you said, "Hey, Matthew."  The donut store is no longer there.

The Royal Coupon is for the Sanddollar Bar.  If you get a Royal Flush while playing there, you get $500 in FP from the Plaza.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the explanation. Much appreciated. I will have a drink at the Sanddollar Bar each future Plaza visit. I played about two hours a day there last trip. Usually I do the Happy Hour outside of Oscar's as often as possible (I like the meatballs), but didn't have the chance last trip.

Do you still need to get like 1500 points before they'll let you do the airline promo at El Co more than 1x per year?

Okay, I am out of the loop. What is the El Cortez airline redemption? I ask because I was there for a couple of hours last trip and played some vp. Is it an Allegiant-only thing (I have seen some ads in the Allegiant magazines), or is it any airline?

Once again, pardon my (lack of) knowledge. I will try to catch up.

Any airline

GGate is Allegiant only but you don't actually have to risk life and limb flying Allegiant to get a BP (it wasn't long ago that Allegiant's own pilots went on the record warning family and friends not to fly that garbage carrier...look up the 60 Minutes episode!)

You can book a dummy ticket, check in and get BP then screen shot it.   Cancel ticket for full refund after.   Same method works for Southwest BP to get promo at The D.

This is the type of behavior that gets great deals cancelled -- "You can book a dummy ticket, check in and get BP then screen shot it. Cancel ticket for full refund after. Same method works for Southwest BP to get promo at The D."

While true as to what you say here, the action you avocate eventually gets noticed/reported to the casino and then the casino terminates the offer - this has happened many times in the past to other great offers.

Thanks for the info!  I have to sit and debate this -- who knew I would be confronted with the eternal classic "Where is my line in the sand?" from asking a simple question?

My cerebral cortex sputters and resets when faced with these decisions. I have done many a Dancer-esque questionable thing in my time, but I have also passed on many that didn't feel quite right. Some of the things I did in my youth were embarrassing and may have crossed a line, like throwing hissy fits about needing a free meal after winning mid five digits on a SB future at Mandalay Bay. I also remember occasionally adopting a Dancer attitude later in life and eating a Hampton Inn breakfast buffet a time or two when the LuxBus to LV actually picked up at the hotel next door. Was that theft? Yeah, but the food wasn't going anywhere but the trash. LOL. I have little in the way of financial morals (I'm from Molly Maguire country, for those who know what that means).

But I try to be fair. Whatever that might mean. Probably no faux ticket for me...unless a tree falls on my house that month that isn't covered by insurance. Then God (and the D) will be held responsible and I will extract my pound of flesh (or free hot dog or free play or whatever).

As Mr. Spock said, "Fascinating. Just fascinating."
