get our money back trip 5-30

Day 3 sunday we check out of Aliante and grab some breakfast sandwiches from burger king to hold us over.  We then stop by Sante Fe Station to check our live keno ticket.  We ran 10 games for 7.50 and won 2 dollars.  I then played some extra draw frenzyWith no good hits.  I had aces 3 times on triple double and no quads.  The wife was play ultimate x and staying about even , but me not so much.

Next stop was Red Rocks for a mimosa and some play at the Lucky bar.  The mimosa was great , but the machines not so much.  So we headed over to The Martini for the 8 oz felit special on sundays.  It was great as always and the bill came out to 32 bucks  for the both of us.  We both had some nice Cab, but  lost a little in the machines.  They have replaced about half of the old slant tops with the new machines.

We then head over to Green Valley Ranch to check in for 2 comped nights and 125 in free play and no resort fee.    We played at every bar before eating dinner at Boteglia, and stayed about even.  Dniner was very good, and sundays they have a buy one get one free from anything on the menu.  We had the chicken Parm, and Salmon, which were both wonderful for about 30 bucks total.  No big hits after dinner, and we both lost a little money before calling it a night.

I will try to post more tomorrow

Day 4 Monday we made some sports book bets and some 6 spot live keno way tickets for quarters, and then headed to the Rainbow club for breakfast.  We did not recieve any free meal comps in our mailers, so we used the LVA coupon for a great BOGO, and used our points.  After breakfast we played at the bar for a couple hours.  I had a few hits and ended about even, but the wife hit 3 6 spots and a buch of 5 spots and ended up a few hundred playing pennys.  We both used the wheel spin coupon from LVA and got 20 bucks each.  It was also gift day so we got a couple nice pans to take back home.

Next stop was Sunset Station to see how the remodel was going.  Things are looking good, but it is slow going.  We  played at the new sports book bar for the first time, and they have lowered the limits to dimes at all the bars.   After making a few dollars we headed back to Green Valley Ranch for happy hour at Boteglia.  We had a ceasar salad and the meatballs, and it was a perfect afternoon snack.

We checked our live keno ticket and won 7 dollars on our 15 dollar investment, and ran it again.  The rest of the night we played at the bars and on the floor  with no big hits, and i called it a night down for the day.

      I will post more tomorrow

I've said it before--Emerald Island/Rainbow is the place to play, and they have the best video keno in Vegas. I play VP 99% of the time in there, and with breakeven pay schedules PLUS comps in excess of 1.5%, it's hard to convince myself to play anywhere else. And of course, the LVA coupons make it an absolute no-brainer.

Day 5 tuesday we  checked  our live keno tickets and only won 4 dollars on our 15 dollar investment.  Made a few sports book bets, and had breakfast at the cafe, spliting the lucky 3 way.  After breakfast we checked out and headed to Gold Coast to play on Boyds 10 times multipier day.

I found a hot old school 3 way poker machine.  These old upright machines are hard on my body, but seem to hit better than the new machines.  I hit 4s with a kicker and an few other quads and then Aces with a kicker.  It was nice that no one was smoking back in this corner, and I seem to be getting better with my playing strategy.  It is fun playing with the 2 draws, and money seems to last playing this game and build up some points.

Next we went to Eddies mexican restaurant at flamingo and the 2-15.  This is a family run place that is now into the 2nd generation.  The food was pretty good and the portions we huge for a good price.  We will be back.

We checked into the Suncoast for 3 comped nights with 25 free play and 10 food credit.  This place is under a lot of construction right now.  You can not even enter the casino from the parking garage.  We Played a little and then went to Red Rocks for the night.  Got some live keno way tickets and had dinner at Rubios for the fish taco special on tuesdays.  No big wins, but had a good time

    I will post more tomarrow

Day  6, wed.  Our first stop was pinkbox donuts on rampart.  We thought they would be expensive after checking them out at the Plaza, but they we priced pretty fair, and were a good value.  Next we went back to Red Rocks to check our live keno ticket and found we won 32 dollars  so we reinvested.  I played some more 3 way poker with not much happening and the wife was the same with ultimate x.  Lunch was at the cafe for the hamberger special with halp priice points day.

Next stop was The Durango were we made some sports book bets and some of the new spokey mo mummy game and bounced around the bars.  These new games are pretty fun and were hitting this week.  The Yeti was my favorite.  Service here was spotty as they didn't have enough bartenders, so they were covering more than one bar, really odd.

We then headed to the Palace Station for dinner at the Charcoal room for half price points .  We stopped by the high limit room first for a few glasses of cab and a little play.  Always a great meal  at the Charcoal room, and we shared the chopped salad , fetit, baked potato and bacon wraped shrimp.  Totally stuffed we headed back to Suncoast and played at the bars for awhile and called it a night

No doubt you are describing filet mignon.  That meal has my mouth watering, especially the bacon-wrapped shrimp.  So much good stuff you are posting.  One poster here also likes Mo Mummy a lot...is it Patricia?

I like Mo' Mummy.  It's my go to game......they now have Mo' Mo' Mo' Mummy and the Yeti and Ghost game deriviatives, which are fun.  My wife got a jackpot last Saturday at Yaamavaa, the sister Indian Casino to the Palms in So. Cal, on the Ghost version.

Day 7 thursday, We headed to Blueberry hill for breakfast on flamingo.  It was great as always, and we split the dealer special.   Hamsteak,  eggs, and hashbrowns and the grilled blueberry muffin.  Then it was on to Park MGM for mimosas and some play.  We stayed about even at Park and then walked down the hallway to Aria to play at the Gem Bar.  Always a good bar and they had our new favorite drink.  The Grey Goose strawberry lemon grass and tonic.  They had this at the Station properties as well at some of the bars.  The peach was also good and would be awesome when the Colorado peaches get ripe.  We made a hundy on the spooky Mo Yeti, and I hit a Whitney Houston game an the wife hit another hundy on a dragon link  Fun day on the strip.

Dinner tonight was at Chicago Brewing company on fort apache  using the LVA coupon.  We both got the steak dinner, which was pretty good., and we will be going back to try other menu items.  Next we  are back at Red Rocks to check our live keno ticket and play for the night.  We won 27 dollars on our 15 dollar investment and ran it again.  I had losing sessions at extra draw frenzy and 3 way poker, and nothing was hitting at the bars.  We checked our keno ticket and won just 4 dollars, so cashed out until our next trip.  Lots of fun and only lost a few dollars this trip.

We hit Pink Box for a snack and played a little at the Suncoast befor calling it a night.  I forgot to mention we played 5 dollar craps at the Suncoast this morning and we lost 10 dollars between us because I rolled like crap.  Fun table and was 5 dollars every morning we were there, 10 dollars in the afternoon.  It was busy, but not packed.  We would have played more, but one day they were filming a Raiders commercal all day, and the casino was crazy

I will try to wrap this up tomorrow

Brent, I had avoided Whitney Houston, as I avoid most celeb slots, but last weekend went with GF to one of the few casinos close by (soon to have a hotel!).  I sat down at Whitney and played the lowest of the low options, walked away with some $400 plus.  Lucky timing.

I'll be sad when you "wrap this up" 'cause you write really good TRs.  Glad you have such a good memory!  Those Grey Goose drinks sound divine.
