Halloween - The Nightmare

A great report, as always, Frank! The night when Plan A didn't work, then Plan B, then Plan C, etc - been there, buddy. Always have a back up to the back up to the back up. Am curious as to all of your play at the Fiesta - is it a favorite joint, are there particular games you like?? I always return to put in a little play for sentimental reasons because I've had three royals there (in 4 straight days!) but haven't had much luck there since.
I must admire your coupon planning - I hesitate to purchase too many Groupons simply because I'm out the dough if I can't fit them into the schedule and they expire before my next trip. Shoot, I have one on my current trip (yes, in Vegas now!) and I have to schedule around it so that I use it before I depart. How on earth do you do it?

Fredo - thanks for the comments on my TR.

I used to play a lot at Fiesta (Reserve), but curtailed my play after Stations/Fiesta decreased the slot club returns several years ago. I switched to Sam's where, as a Sapphire member, I am getting two times points every day.

On this trip I switched back to Fiesta because of the recent increase in slot club returns - now exceeding Sam's plus Fiesta had a few good promos in October including 2 x points on Friday and Saturdays.

As far as games are concerned, I have been playing FPDW almost exclusively for several years.
Great report, thanks for the food pictures and details.
Better luck on gambling!!
I enjoyed your TR and always enjoy your money saving posts!

I had to laugh that the only "5" rating went to that martini at the Elco. I'll have to try that new bar. The meal I had at Twin Creeks at Silverton was one of the best I've ever had and the martini I had (similiar to what you had) was yummy too.

Where is the Restaurant School that you went to for lunch? That sounds like something fun I'd like to do next time I'm in LV.

That picture of the two little ones dressed up all scary was so cute.

Thanks again for your detailed and informational TR. Hope your next trip will be a winner and the food more delicious!

Thanks Westie for another great report with great photos as well!

I'm mourning with you over the demise of your money this trip but I'm happy for team Westie's two Royals and numerous Ducks!

Real nice TR.

Ellis Island for Merlot? I love it.

Thank you for posting all the cool pics and info.

Thanks for reading the report. The school is across the highway from Green Valley Ranch Resort. It is a complex of office buildings on the 2nd floor. Here is the link to its website:

Thanks Westie. I made this thread a favorite so I'll have the restaurant school info for my next trip.
WOW !!!!! What a fantastic Trip Report, .............. and all those great food and other pics too.
It must have taken a long time to post all of those.

Thanks Westie for taking the time to write and share.

I think those GPS thingies try to avoid the interstates, when often the interstates are the best way to go.

FYI -
The "GPS thingies" have settings for "Fastest Route", "Shortest Route" "Most Highway", "Least Highway", etc. so you can pick what you want.
