Heading to Vegas 2/21 -22/23

An '80s-'90s cover band combined with some bar offerings and DDB play sounds just great to me.  Really enjoying your TR so far, Edso.  I'm keeping fingers crossed for your final slot tourney rounds.

Best of luck in your tournament.  Sorry I missed you but I won't be there until Tuesday.  Take care

Thanks and have a great time next week.

2/21- Friday.   headed to the Westgate fitness room for a 45 minute workout.  Originally posted by: Edso

I used to laugh at casinos having fitness rooms.  "Who would go to Vegas and workout?"  Now I try to get a workout in each morning I'm there.  That's what I do at home and I don't want to break that habit.

For sure,  Jerry!

Saturday, 2/22 AM-  went to the Westgate fitness center to start the day.  45 minutes on the treadmill.  Headed to the Tuscany Casino for breakfast.  Wife had chicken breast and eggs, while I had a sausage omelet.  Always excellent. Wife used her comps.  We played through our $25 FP, before heading to the South outlet mall to get some running shoes from the New Balance store.  Headed back to the Westgate for the next round of the slot tourney at 1pm.  Probably one of my least playing mornings in many years.

Saturday, 2/22 PM- had a good round at the slot tournament,  wife, not so much.  Decided to hang out at the International Bar to play VP while waiting for the last round of the tournament.   It was a 4OAK fest for us both.  No 4 aces or kickers,  but plenty of 4OAK to both leave up $100.

Decided to eat at the food court  by the sportsbook before the final round.  We shared the chicken strips dinner, and some pretzel sticks.  Used my food comps for it.

Another good tournament round for me and not so good for wife.   Ended up 6th, got a good FP reward, which we used to make a profit for the trip.  Had a big line hit on the Wicked Wheel Phoenix game.

We finished off the evening playing VP at both the International Bar hanging out with bartender Ray and then at the Sportsbook Bar getting great drinks from Dahlia.  My wife really likes the midori lemonades she made. A few 4OAKs and a Straight Flush kept us playing to about 11.

Sunday, 2/23- Homeward bound.  No gaming this morning. Started the day with a 7am 45 minute treadmill workout.  Packed up and went to the Diamond Club to see what that's about.   Wife was informed by her host last night that she was upgraded to diamond status.

Basically this area is for diamond level check-in and check out.  As we talked with the host we did find out that they comp the valet fee, so saved us $60.  Valet is $20 daily.  Son parked in the north parking garage and was never charged, so it looks like free parking there.  Not sure about the sports book lot, but will check on that in 3 weeks when we head back to pick up our free cruises.  Host made sure to remind us of that.

After the smoothest check out we headed to Tuscany for breakfast for the 6 of us (me, wife, our son and his three buddies that came to celebrate his birthday), paid with comps.

Now for a four hour drive back home.

Sounds like a good trip Edso. At least you didn't get shut out on the slot tourney. And thanks for the update on the valet at Westgate.
