Heavy Metal at the Hard Rock's Vinyl 12/19/12

Went to Vegas for dead week or gold week. First stop was Hard Rock to wash some Match Play coupons. Lots of shows are dark for dead week so I was surprised to see a Christmas gig planned for Vinyl that night. Turns out I caught the second night of what the ticket described as "48 HOURS OF SIN". A little misleading as it actually was a benefit for the local Marines Toys for Tots fund drive. The base band was the very good Sin City Sinners. They are a fun and talented band who started off playing some rocking Christmas songs. Soon things got crazy. It reminded me of the old days at the Double Down Saloon when lots of name brand artists would jump on stage and jam (except there was no dudes in the ladies room with the door locked!!). LOL I'm sure I will forget some of the stars that jammed but here goes the list.
A couple dudes from Fast Pussy Cat, dudes from Stryker, Harbor Saint, Great White, Five Finger Death Punch, LA Guns, and my favorite was the lead dude from Angel. There also was performances by awesome local performers as well. The crowd also had many other name brand acts in attendance who did not perform. Incredibly this jig set me back a whole $12.50 and I helped kids in need have a great Christmas!!

The rest of the trip was like going back in time for me as I put on my old Grinder hat and washed hundreds of gambling coupons in six days of nonstop casino jumping. I killed it!!

I brought a lot of hats, sunglasses, etc with me for cover on this trip. Never received any heat from the bosses except at the Riveria doing the win card promotion. Started off the trip by losing my first 8 matchplays in a row!!Things soon changed....

Arrived Vegas with $150 left with over $600 in my pocket!! Drank like a fish and ate like a king!! Paid cash for almost everything I bought and tips. Did better than face value ($40) at both the Palms and the Trop with my slotplaycoupons.com certs.

At the Riveria, I bet the whole win card $25 stack and the pink $1 tip paper on the don't and won. I then slowly bet the last $25 at a nickle a time and was very lucky. The Pit boss was not very happy with me. Oh well...

Used a coupon on Expedia to get $256 total OTD for six nights (12/19-12/24) at the Quad and airfare(indy)included. This also included 2 free breakfest buffets and a $20 resort credit(which I couponed to double up on). Dead/Gold week has it's perks!!

Got upgraded to first class on every leg (elite). Came close to getting bumped but some chick was too drunk to fly so they didn't need me.

On Friday night I had 2 rooms. I used the El Cortez promo to get a second room for about $3.50 net after free play and food credit. Also burned an email free slot play and the coup books free slot play as well. They ended up paying me to stay there as I was lucky on the free play again.

Only gambled( I don't count grinding as gambling) for about 20 minutes total this trip playing blackjack at the Quad with the Rod Stewart dealatainer. I saw the Rod look a like at the Vinyl show and thought it would be fun to chat him up. He rememembered me from the crazy double down days. I won playing BJ too.

It was one of those rare trips were you feel like Midas.

Thanks to everyone who helped me out before the trip. I almost used every coupon I had! I still use coupons but I haven't hard core grinded in a long time. With the good gambling coupons back in the 2013MRB and 2013 ACG it looks like I'll be back to my old ways!!
