Hinckley Grand Casino- Hinckley, Minnesota

YJammer; it's posssible I was wrong about the 9/6 JoB. I am sure they had plenty of 9/5 DDB. I believe we fight there agian in February- I'll report back.
Nice report, tommywishbone. Glad you enjoyed your time at Grand Casino Hinckley. I am heading up to Hinckley for one night next week. Enjoy all their 9/5 DDB machines, which is better than most other casinos in the state. Also, there Aristocrat penny slots like Pompeii, Pelican Pete, and Queen of the Nile seem to pay well.
I met Jean Scott one time at a book signing and she asked me where I lived. When I told her northern minnesota she said that she had been to Grand Casino Hinckley once and the pay tables for the one-eyed jacks game is actually 100%+. However this is no known strategy for it. I met a guy once while playing it and he was working on his own strategy card. Well it was actually 2 8x11 sheets of paper because there were TONS of penalty cards that he was trying to sort through.

Too complicated for me.

I haven't played VP there in years. 9/6 DB was the best they had at the time and only at the $0.50 level or higher. I never saw anything better than 7/5 JOB below $1 and 8/5 at the $1 level.
Duluthians, thanks for the interesting info. on one-eyed jacks game at Hinckley. A lot of people playing it when I was there a couple weeks ago. A lot of old nickel coindropper OEJ. I was thinking the casino must be making good money on them or they wouldn't still have a lot of slot employees carrying around those big old bags of nickels. Like you say, probably a good game for the player too, but I didn't play because I did not know proper strategy as I do for other games.

Fyi, quite a few $0.25 level 9/6/5 DB and 9/5 DDB, which is nice, because you only find those at Mystic Lake and Treasure Island (MN) usually at higher levels.

Interesting indeed D regarding those "One-eyed Jack" Machines. I thought the one I was playing was very poor- but. . . I could have been wrong. I do know for sure it was a "coin-dropper". I was scooping quarters like crazy.
