Hot Wife, Hot Summer, Hot Jackpot!

Went to Atlantic City over the June 20-22 weekend.

Mrs. Blade and I take a junket from North Carolina about once a month. Stay at Caesars where we always have a great time.

And the beach bars. Neither of us drink but we do enjoy being around the fun and action, but not the drunks. Mrs. Blade said let’s go look at the waitresses in the hot pink bikinis!

Been working with the wife on learning how to play VP as she currently plays $1 Reel Slots. Double Down Stud is a good game to get comfortable with since you are dealt 4 cards and only have to choose between Doubling Up your bet or just drawing your final card. She liked that the game will tell you if you have a winning hand on the deal so she could just Double on a Win, otherwise just Draw. I played beside her and pointed out how she would need to start watching for a "Possible" winning hand like 4 of a suit that she should Double on instead of just hitting draw.

First two days we didn’t hit much of anything while playing (Slots, VP, anything).

However, on Sunday while Mrs. Blade was getting ready I went back next door to Ballys and played a little Double Down Stud.

Within a couple minutes I was dealt one of those "possible" winning hands, so I Doubled my bet and was Blessed by the VP Gods on Sunday morning....



My biggest Jackpot ever!

Glad we hit that Jackpot a few hours before flying home, so most of the money went with us.

Glad I can share with my LVA friends.

I love North Carolina. My grandmother lived at Carolina Beach. Her little house, about a block from the ocean, took several hurricane hits, e.g. Hazel, others. Have relatives all over NC.

But, that's beside the point! CONGRATS!!!

If I may share....some many, many years ago in LAS at the old Boardwalk (remember squishy carpets from the hamburgers?) my wife and I were playing double down stud on quarter machines...back to back. Her machine's face said 10,000 coins for a royal. The one I was playing had $10,000.00 for a royal. Obviously a slot tech did not place the correct face plate on my machine.....well I did hit the royal.

It took a half hour and some suits discussing the situation; when I suggested that maybe we needed to call the Vegas Gaining Commission to straighten out the matter I was paid the $10K in just a few minutes.

The next day wife and I returned to the Boardwalk and the machine had a new face plate.

My account of this win was published in the LVA back in about 1988 or 89.
