I'm No April Fool

No April fool here!

First of all, I want to send an update that my last TR at the end of December was very good. I ended the year on a real high note. I have been doing well at Greektown this year, a royal, deuces, quads etc. I had a nice little bank roll until hubby and I went to AC last week where those machines that gave me 2 royals wanted it back as well as a lot of others. We all do this lol!

So I have to build the bank roll again. Back to Greektown (my part-time job as I call it)

I figured I'd be riding that bus a few times to restore our losses. I take a bus that leaves around 8:30 and returns around 8:00. We have 5 hours approx. for gambling. It's probably the best thing going for me. I don't know why, but I have been extremely lucky here. I know I've done some posting here as well as text messages, emails etc. It's fortunate that Greektown has some very good games with JB & NSU. I especially like NSU. Catherine (Bigfus) said I have to do a TR and promised me one as well.

This was my best trip ever to Greektown. I'm pretty happy to beat those machines playing quarters with occasional fifty cents or $. I don't have to worry about junkets and comp etc.

On this day, April 1, I supposedly had $35 in free play, $30 (bus costs $25 and they return $30) and a free duffle bag. I also had $10 in cash back from my last trip. I can download all this on a machine but not on the machines I play on. I have been playing 9/6 DB (actually these machines have JB but the RF is only $2500-no way) I did really well a couple times, but not too well last couple. Anyway, I ended up having $90, somehow the free play was $50. Nice start. After running it through, I had $60.

I head to MY MACHINES at the other side of the casino. They have the area curtained off. I'm thinking my GT days are over, I was shocked! So I get closer and there is a sign saying they relocated them back in the poker room where I just came from actually a couple rooms over. I know they're gonna kill e'm sometime. NOT NOW! I NEED YOU! The area was pretty nice. Instead of 6 back to back, they put them in 3 back to back.

I found one of my favorites. It's one I got my first ever dealt royal on and a royal last January on my Mom's birthday. It's the one that bit me on Valentine's day when hubby went with me. This is the second time they moved these machines since last January. Just don't move them out the door, PLEASE. I'm sure my bus trips will be over or very minimal when Cleveland gets their Horseshoe Casino next year. We all know that CE will not have very good VP. I only hope it isn't too bad.

So I put in this $60 ticket and began to play. I was doing pretty well and up to fifty then back to quarters then back again. I had over $100 and held a 10C JC, and playing fifty cents, hit a royal. This was my first ever hand pay at Greektown. They sure fuss around coming to pay you. Of course they have that dinging going on. I was sending texts and trying to call my husband who was at our son's house. This was probably around 1:00 and I finally reached him after 3:00, and he never saw the message duh! My daughter called in between. First lady gets there, give her Id and SS#. After awhile, another lady comes wants the # and wants me to fill out a tax form. I don't understand why they don't have this info. So a third lady shows up after awhile and wants id. I said I already gave this to 2 other ladies. After quite some time, they finally came with my money. So the lady hands me 20 cents lol, and says that it's my change. I say, why? I had to pay state tax $79.80. After the first lady walked away, I had thought I should have asked for a check, but at the rate they were moving it would have probably taken another week lol. Anyway, it was wonderful, My bankroll has been restored in one trip! I had to call my daughter back, and she says don't continue playing on the same machine. I said don't worry, I'll get off if I feel I need to. This is coming from a slot player lol. I continued to play going from 25-$ NSU & JB up over $300 down to $100 and finally stopping after 3:00 at $200 to take a break and get some food.

I went to the booth to get my duffel bag, and finally talked to my husband. I then went to the buffet and got a little to eat before they closed it for the dinner hour.

I went back to MY MACHINES and tried another machine. I played about 25 min. with the $200 ticket and took out $320. This was all from my investment of $25 for the bus. Just another day at the office. I guess this was BONUS day.

I hope this sends some luck to all of you. A friend of mine, Cheryl, had sent an email to me in morning which I read before leaving for the bus. She was giving her report of her trip to The Rivers in PA. She had a pretty nice day on her bus trip on Thursday getting lots of quads on bonus machines, so hopefully, she brought me some luck. I met Cheryl in AC last December on a junket. She is a lurker on these boards and recognized me from my picture. She thinks I'm a celebrity lol! We have become really good friends and share all of our stories through email. Maybe she'll post a message here sometime. Come on Cheryl, say hi!

Very nice, Judy! Thanks for the report and congratulations on your $2k Royal and other nice hits!

Congrats on the schweet win on YOUR machine!!! They'll have to post a sign: "Judy's ATM" haha!!! Thanks for the motivational TR
Wow great. I use to love Greektown and haven't been in ages perhaps it is time to start again.

TY Hey, I can't afford NOT to go lol! That's not the only machine, but it has been the best most of time. Sometimes it's hard to get on any of the machines.
Sometimes I wonder if the feeling of "knowing" you will win brings about good karma? I know if I'm down in the dumps and don't think I will win, I sure don't. Sounds like you have the karma thing going...don't stop! Congrats!

When I play, I never have the attitude that I can't win, although I always know that there is the possibility that things may end up that my session pot will drain away.

I just always try to play every hand in the best possible way to help lessen the chances of my losing!

Ty. I do feel pretty confident when I go there, but occasionally when I lose a couple of times in a row I think maybe I lost my touch, but then I usually go and get my royal or deuces. I had trips to Laughlin when I went on Junkets that were really good and then really bad. I was about to give up and had my best trip ever. The karma's working right now, so I'll be on that bus next Friday. I get to play chick-tac-toe with a chicken lol!

Rec. I agree that I have a positive attitude and do try to choose the best machines and play my best, but I don't want to kid myself that even doing the best sometimes the machines are really UGLY like in AC! The crazy thing is when I go somewhere like Presque Isle with my family and know I have to play poor pay scales and expect the worst, and then I go and hit deuces and a royal, lol. Talk about MAKING MY DAY!
Gee, you are a lucky, "Greek." LOL

Always nice to hear about wins at lucky places.

Congrats!!!

You have inspired me for sure!!!!

Hey, after my last trip, I need all the inspiration
I can get.

Thanks for writing!!!!

Hey Judy,

I never disregard the possibility that I can lose (or the machine can go bad) at any time when I'm playing on the best game that I can play on, but knowing that I'm doing what I can to do as good as I can is good enough for me.

And even if I was forced to play on bad pay schedules, I would at least take the time and effort (if not at the very least to print out a specific playing strategy chart for the specific pay schedule that I was playing on), to play the best I could and then just hope for the best results.
