Actually, a good time to be visiting...the heat is abating (sort of) and you're well in advance of the F1 hoopla, which will be followed by Thanksgiving weekend and its very very very high prices.

I had a period, fortunately over now, when I had limited mobility after serious surgery and had to deal with ADA rooms and walk-in showers and tubs that could be lethal etc. etc.--and the variations on what you find in Vegas hotels are mind-numbing. I'd like to see reviews of ADA rooms and how available they are posted somewhere. FWIW, the 4Q downtown and AZCharlies Decatur both had great ADA rooms.

The stick-on shower thingy doesn't work, and it could get you killed, as it at first seems securely in place, but if and when you grab it to try to prevent a fall, it'll give way. Crash. Thud. Bleed.

I do think that for what Vegas hotels charge, you should have robot assistants to carry you to and from your hotel room and the casino. After all, shouldn't you get something for that $249 resort fee?

We crossed picket lines years ago, was it the Frontier?  The strike that went on for years?

My first job also, hospital workers (non-professionals) were on strike.  I almost forgot about that one.  Actually I worked alongside a few "scabs", ones who didn't strike, stayed to work for patient care.

No big deal, just keep eyes front, no eye contact with picketers, don't stop--keep walking, don't look at them, don't argue with them.   They will scream at you but aren't allowed to touch you.  Like I said, just keep on walkin' and walk on in.  The same going out, just keep walking, eyes front as if you don't even notice them.
