Itinerary 7 Nights Beginning October 17

Trip Itinerary 7 nights in Las Vegas beginning October 17
T-7 days and counting:

My last Vegas trip was November 2012 for eight days. This trip will be eight days with my wife. We’re leaving next Thursday from Boston non-stop via JetBlue, getting in about 3:30 PM, and renting a mid-size car via Dollar Express for the week.

After getting the car, we’ll get something quick to eat, probably along Paradise maybe at Capriotti’s or Bahama Breeze before checking into the MGM Signature for three nights on a Travelzoo deal. The last four nights will be at Palm’s Place at which I got a SmarterVegas deal for $59 per night plus resort fee. It also includes a $40 food credit at Simon’s restaurant

Entertainment

When I go with my wife, the trip is always entertainment-heavy. Friday night have tickets for Brian Wilson, Al Jardine, and Jeff Beck at the Palms; Saturday night Steve Vai at Mandalay Bay; Sunday night LV Live Comedy Show at V Theater (Goldstar comped); Monday night Brad Garrett at his namesake MGM Comedy Club with Dom Irrera as the opening act; Tuesday night and Wednesday night are open, but may go see The Fab (a Vegas-based Beatles tribute band) at Mizuya Lounge at Mandalay Bay on Wednesday night (no cover).

During the afternoons with my wife will do some shopping, grab her some free slot play here and there, and may check out the Neon Museum, Pinball HOF, and the Quad Auto Collection.

Gambling

The vast majority of my gambling will be done alone in the mornings. I have matchplays and freeplays (MPs and FPs) from ACG, LVA MRB, and other sources My most extensive coupon run will be near strip and include Gold Coast, Palms, Riviera, Tuscany, Hard Rock, Ellis Island, Hooters, and Orleans, and may include a Wincard deal at Mandalay Bay, Circus Circus, and Riviera. I’ll also do a downtown MP/FP coupon run including Las Vegas Club, The Plaza, 4Queen’s, Binions, The D, and ElCo.

Besides coupon runs, I’m hoping to spend time playing $0.25 x 10 coin FP Deuces Wild (FPDW) VP at the Rainbow Club Casino in Henderson (if these machines still exist). Regardless, I will definitely play a good amount of $0.25 FPDW and $0.50 to $1.00 Loose Deuces Wild VP at GVR; $0.25 FPDW at the Palms; 50c Aces & Eight’s VP at Circus Circus; and 25c Pick-A-Pair (aka Pick’Em) at the Fremont.

Food

In addition to the $40 credit at Simon’s, I also have a $50 restaurant.com certificate for Carve restaurant at E. Cannery, and a $50 gift certificate for Maggiano’s at the Fashion Show Mall.

I will also likely use LVA MRB 2-for-1 buffet coupons at Mirage and GVR. During the week we may hit Grand Luxe, the Peppermill, LeBurger Brasserie, Earl of Sandwich, Hash House a Go Go, and maybe Settebello’s. But nothing’s written in stone.

Will send a trip report upon return.

Good Luck!
Sounds good! Too bad I'll just miss you because I'm likely leaving for home at about 12 Noon on the 17th.

Anyway, speaking of Win Cards, if you have never done it there, you can also do it at Four Queens (since you said you're going there). It's also supposedly at Tropicana if you haven't done that one either (at least that's what it says at: https://www.wincards.com/casinos.html ).

Have a great time and a safe, fun and profitable trip!

Great itinerary.Good luck and have fun.

If you plan to play FPDW for 25 cents at the Palms you should look into buying the $25 coupon for slot play at the Palms. You get $40 in credit to use. When I was there in August I was able to download the $40 onto the FPDW machines.

The company is called slot play coupons.com. I heard of this through the AGC newsletters. As a matter of fact I just got an email with a code for 5 percent off to use on their offers.

You can call the Palms slot Club to verify that they are still accepting these.
Good luck to both of you.
I have friends leaving LV tomorrow, the weather has been great.
Looking forward to the trip report.

Lindsey, AGC newsletter?
I have a partially used book from July but have lost the card will that be a problem to use in later Nov.?
If you lost your AGC card and try to use some of the coupons, then you may have a problem. One of three things happen when you use the coupons.

1) The casino does not ask to see the card.

2) They ask to see the card, but do not look at the signature.

3) At the El Cortez, I had to show the card, and they made me sign the card.

In addition to the above even though it is not a stated requirement, in order to use a match play at the Vegas Club they made sure I had a player's card.

So yes, it may be a problem.

I may be able to send to you an unsigned AGC card for you to use. E mail me now through the LVA and I will send you my e private email. Check with me at beginning of November.
