We checked back into the IP and ended up in the Capri Tower. Never again.. Not user friendly. My parents liked this hotel and so do we. It is not anything fancy but at least you feel comfortable. The Capri tower was like being in a maze, using the elevators in the back of the building. We heard several complaints from people staying there that this is terrible planning on the hotels part.
We dropped the bags and went out. We really need to play this week to keep our comps if we want to continue staying at Harrahs.rick likes playing at Harrahs and seemed to have better luck there. I did better at the IP.
Monday, we caught the bus and went to the South Strip. Visited with Mandalay Bay, Luxor, and Excalibur. We stopped at NYNY and had a snack in the little neighborhood. My parents like the little food court. Rick of course, put his nose on the glass watching the meat at Gallagher's age. Lol, he wants to eat there so bad.
Tuesday, we ate breakfast at the Peppermill and made our way back down the strip. Gambling a little at each place. My parents espcially like Wynn and Encore. They love the way it is decorated.
Wednesday, travel day we hit Terribles, Ellis Island, and various other casinos.
Thursday, we went to the race track and Valley of Fire. All the years we have been going I have wanted to go to VOF but just never made it. Our family loved it and we didn't get to see it all. This is a must the next trip out. I played at IP WOF and had it up over $300. loved it
Friday, we went to Hoover Dam and did the drive over the new bridge. This was fine and I am glad you can't see over the sides. My dad and mom were very impressed as they had never stopped and been able to walk around at the dam. We had coffee, relaxed and took our time touring. We stopped at the Hacienda Casino for a quick potty break before the dam and I hit for $30 at WOF. Our last night we gambled at Harrah's for hours. No big wins but it kept us going.
All in all it was a great trip. We are not alone with no big wins this trip. Printed out our win/loss and it is above last year. Enjoyed the shows, restaurants and want to start to planning for next year. Valley of Fire is a definate for next year.
