Jan 4 to Jan 10 - Happy Vacation....

We had a great time.....Report is going to be modified....This is my 3rd attempt....I keep hitting some key that puts the report in Limbo (dam laptop)....Ok here goes:

Jan 4 - Left EWR (Newark NJ) at 7:00 am without incident....Great pilot...My ears did not hurt upon landing.
The plane was not full and I had a row to myself.

My husband lost his new winter jacket at the airport....We reported it missing but did not go to lost and found as we wanted to get on with our vacation.....Lucky the weather was very mild throughout our vacation.

We went to payless and got our mid size car - Of course agent tried to sell us extras....Told him No Thanks....We waited in line about 1/2 hour with only 3 people ahead of us....This is the part of vacation in LV that I don't like....but it is a necessity for us....and Payless had the best price.

Checked into the Orleans for one night....Great Rate....$32.00 less $15.00 dining credit put towards bill.
Room was nice...We were in Newer Tower with strip view....Everyone very nice.

Jan 5 - called LVA.....Rewards Books are in!
Head to LVA and pick up book.....Now are vacation can really begin......

We check into Grand View Las Vegas (timeshare next to South Point) - Very nice....My sister and brother in law gave 5 days to us for our Christmas Gift. Thanks Sis and Bro

South Point - We were at South Point some part of every day.
Went to the movies a few times....If you have a South Point card the rate for Seniors Monday thru Friday before 4 pm is $4.00 - We took adavantage of the rate and saw some great movies.

I also played Bingo a couple of times....Did not win...but had some fun and met some nice people -
my husband went to the movies while I played .

Also South Point has Steak and Shake ( nice place for a snack), Del Mar Deli- Which we used on our going home day .....bagels for the plane, had a so-so breakfast buffet (last day) and good dinner at the Coffee Shop (they have very good Chinese Food and Steak Special).

Oh, we also won on Blackjack and slots at South Point.

During our Vacation we went to:
Ellis Island - For 2 for 1 BBQ - GREAT RIBS....Also $10 ea in Slot Play (new Members) and $10 good next day with LVA Coupon.

Sunday - We went back again to Ellis Island...and used $10 Free Slot play Coupon and had breakfast in the coffee shop - Very Good....I had a Huge Ham Steak that supplied Lunch to me and my husband the next day.

Red Rock - Went to Red Rock Casino for Breakfast Buffet - Did not need coupon - If you are new member they give you each a free buffet plus $5 each in slot play. After Breakfast we went to Red Rock Canyon - which is just incredible.

El Cortez - Used LVA Coupon at Flame and had a great dinner....Our waitress was very good - but I think she got confused and only took off $25 instead of $30 (ACG is offering $25.) We didn't say anything as she was very good to us in other ways.
I used the $10 free slot play at the EC and cashed out at $25 and my husband won at Black Jack

California - To get some great Ice Cream at Lapperts.

Fitzgeralds - Won at Double Deck Blackjact.

Four Queens - Used free $10 slot play - Did not win - but had fun

Sams Town - Had a great time playing Blackjack and left winning

Boulder Station - Could Not win there.....Slots were very tight.

M - Had a good time.....we each rec'd $5 in free slot play (new members) My husband played blackjack and I played the free slot plays....I won $59.00 and my husband won too.

Palms - Went to Blue Agave for dinner using LVA Coupon - we both had their wonderful shrimp cocktail with the avocado and the lobster pan roast.... Very nice....Really nice with 50% off bill.

Bills Gambling Hall - Won at slots....Husband lost at Blackjack (but not much)

The LVA coupons really made our vacation enjoyable....We both get a kick out of seeing how much we casave on some great meals, gambling, etc.

Oh , btw - We went to the lost and found at the airport on our return and some one brought his jacket in...
there are nice people in this world....So Jacket and Husband are reunited.

We used to stop at Ellis Island every trip, but haven't been there in several years. We never had the ribs. Gotta do that sometime.

We love South Point and are staying there next week.! Hope we have some great weather & hope our holds out for our flight next Tuesday.

Thanks and have a great trip....If you decide to go to Ellis Island ...Make sure that you sign in for a table at the BBQ as soon as you get there.....We almost had an hour and half wait...but lucked out with the host and got seated within 20 min.

Thanks for the trip report. We will be in Vegas for a week in March and go to many of the places you mentioned. We love Southpoint. I was disappointed to see there were no coupons in the MRB this year.
We went to the Primarily Prime Rib Restaurant at Southpoint with the 50% off coupons, it was fabulous. I was really looking forward to that this year again.

Thank you for the report! I'm happy that you two had mostly winning sessions during the trip -- especially with Blackjack and I'm happy that your husband was able to be reunited with his jacket!

And I also really like to see how much money that I can save (or make) by using the coupons from the MRB/MRO as well as the ACG.

That can easily get me more money to be able to do more stuff!
