Kicked out of the Bellagio

At the risk of generalizing, the security people at most casinos seem a bit Jeckyl and Hyde to me. I've had some pretty helpful encounters when requiring medical assistance or trying to locate lost articles. OTOH, I've had the "pleasure" of seeing some back room activity where the HMFIC was watching a survailence camera and after noticing a guy who was obviously known to them scalping tickets to a fight barked out the order to an underling to "take that MF'er down!". Really??? For scalping tickets??? You would think it was a crack house operation or something of this magnitude.

I've had experiences on both ends of the spectrum but I would strongly contend that these guys at Bellagio were stupid. Do you have any juice at any MGM casino's? The reason I'm asking is that you'd be surprised how quickly something like this could be resolved to your satisfaction if you're a known and established player. Without going into the ugly details, in one minute I'm 86'ed at all MGM casinos and within 45 minutes, the report is shredded and I'm yucking it up with the MGM Grand casino shift manager. He also gave me his card and said that if there are any incidents in the future, to just give him a call. In the heirarchy of things, the casino is where the money is made and they have the stick.

Hope they do the right thing and respond appropriately. Keep us posted....I always figure that if something like that can happen to anyone on these boards, it can happen to me.

Zapman

So, what do you want?
Your letter just states you were angry the way you were treated.
You have every right to be angry...
But...you don't list what you want.

Instead, you write you want to discuss this incident. Ok, your letter already states it, what's there to discuss?
You don't list any demands (seems to think you're hoping Bellagio is going to come to you with offers of free rooms and food).

Do you want to sue them? Do you want money? Do you want an apology letter?
You asked for nothing. So guess what, they aren't going to give you anything.

So, what is it that you want from this Zapman?

My 2 cents

I think an apology and a "we'll talk to the people involved to make sure they're treating our guests properly" would be a good place to start.

If they want to throw in some freebies, fine, but this (to me) is a matter of principal -- they made a mistake and then the person involved handled it wrong, and there should be an apology and a, "we'll take steps so this doesn't happen again" message.
