Might that be a Yugo?  I hear they are making a comeback.

Candy

Saturday,  8/30-  Went to breakfast with wife,  son and his buddy at the Tuscany.  Marilyn's never disappoints, and I paid with comps.  Played our freeplay,  but no love.

Headed back to relax before the 1pm slot tourney round.   Wife did better and I ended my round in 1st place.

Went back to the timeshare for a couple hours before the last tourney round. Ended up heading to the Westgate sportsbook to watch the Oklahoma college game while playing VP.  Spent 80 bucks.

Last round of tourney was my worst one, but ended up 4th overall and won 3 grand freeplay.   Wife and I turned that into $2600.

Went to dinner at the Silk Road Asian Bistro at Westgate with wife,  son and his buddy.  I had Kung Pao chicken and wife and son had Orange chicken.  Also got chicken fried rice,  but they brought us just regular fried rice.  Waiter fixed it and didn't charge us for the regular rice.  Charged to the room and used food comps.

Back to the timeshare around 10pm for sleep. Profit for the day was around 2K.  Nice!

Ellis Island and Eureka Casino tomorrow for wife's birthday.

Nice tourney win!!

If you go to Eureka, eat at Fat Choy. Twofer LVA coupon!

They also have a fun VP game that I think is totally extinct elsewhere: Multi-Strike. One of the machines has Super Aces (99.93%} and the other has 9/6 JOB. The correct strategy is a little weird. It's a good way to earn enough points to deploy the free play coupon.

I made a post about my visit there about a month ago. As you apparently like Chinese food, arrive hungry and enjoy Fat Choy--i was really impressed by the quality, quantity, and prices.

Is that the origin of the phrase "Yugo, girl"? Sounds like an insult.

Did that.   Took advantage of new sign up and wife's bday. Will put into report.   Also hit up Ellis Island for her birthday and going to Sahara (up to $500 FP) during birthday month.

Nice report, Edso !   Those HGV properties are the bomb!    Have you tried the one behind Flamingo?      Once you get used to having the full kitchen, living room, giant bathrooms, etc.....it's hard to go back to regular hotel rooms.

I need to check out Fat Choy and see what all the buzz is about.

That's our home property, and we've stayed there a bunch in the early 2000s when the property actually opened up to the old Flamingo pool with the waterslides.  Haven't stayed there since they put in the high roller next door.

Sunday,  August 31st, wife's birthday.  Started off going to the Eureka for breakfast and it didn't disappoint.  Wife had the breakfast sandwich and I had the sausage burrito.  New member sign up netted us each $25 FP after playing $25.  I got $10 FP and $10 dining credits for the 55 and over Senior Sunday,  while wife got $10 FP and $15 dining credits for herbl birthday promo. Using the bogo LVA coupon and some dining credits, a $5 tip was all breakfast cost. Score!

Wife parlayed her FP into $100 profit thanks to a nice Mo Mummy bonus and I netted $60 playing Cleopatras Wild Tiles.

Next stop was Ellis Island to meet up with our son.  He and his buddy went to a 2000's night at Area 15. He said they had a great time.

We met at the slot club to get our cards, and redeem the LVA coupon for the two specialty drinks with the purchase of two appetizers at Frontyard.  Son and his buddy got the two apps, while wife and I had the drinks.  We got two lemon berry loves.  Supposed to have vodka,  but couldn't actually taste any.   Not worth the $14 they usually cost.  Not impressed with the Frontyard.  Took over 20 minutes to get the drinks and over 30 minutes to get the apps.

Wife and I played some.   She got $10 in FP for her birthday and I got $10 with another LVA coupon.  Firecracker game was good to me for another $60 profit.  Wife wanted Krispy Kremes for her birthday,  so a drive to Warm Springs Rd. was in order.

After getting some donuts the 4 of us hit up Orleans to use our FP.  Didn't realize it was a pick em gift day.  I had a nice run on Mo Mummy and Cleopatras Wild Tiles for a $100 profit, and went down $40 playing VP at one of the bars while my wife and the guys played blackjack.  Son and wife lost a hundo while my son's buddy made $50. They joined me at the bar for some VP and a drink.

My wife checked her account and noticed she earned not just one,  but two gifts.  I had the same thing.  There were a number of different gifts,  so we got 3 insulated backpack coolers and a digital scale.

Headed back to the Westgate for dinner at the Silk Road Asian Bistro,  but they were closed.  Supposed to be open on Sundays, but nope!  Even the bartender at the International Bar was surprised.  Decided to head down to the sportsbook deli for food.   Wife still had some food credits. We got pizza and garlic knots for myself and the guys,  while my wife had the chicken strips and fries. We sat at the Sportsbook Bar to eat,  play VP and have some drinks. I did hit a 4oak in kings to eek out a $40 profit. Winning even a bit is better than losing.

After eating we left the guys at the bar and used the last of the FP I had from the tournament.   We played wicked winnings and the firecracker game.  Parlayed the $300 FP into $220 cash, before heading back to the timeshare for the night.

Overall, was able to turn the $3000 FP into just over $2800.
