Lake Tahoe, June 30 & July 1 & 2 *some pics added

NC- Thanks little lady. It was actually kind of fun watching that guy play at those levels.

CLV- Well maybe only seven chardonays. . . but she had a few.

7777- Very cool indeed. I just noticed that your avatar is indeed a Lake Tahoe sunset.
Congrats on the royal . Sounds like a great view I'm putting table 19 on my list for September. How did you like the gondola ride?
S852- Absolutely do Table XVIIII for dinner. I don't actually ride in the gondola, I go as hard as I can on the route the gondola follows. There are some sections where you are forced to traverse off the exact route but I am beneath the cables for most of the effort. The views from the top are phenomenal and I highly recommend going up there- either by running or riding the gondola.

TWB - so you don't ride the gondola down ?

Hi agnes; no, I don't ride down. Because of the huge snowfall this year the top 500 feet (not 500 vertical feet) is a 3-4 foot deep snow field that has a frozen surface layer. Ocassionally you break through and that is slow going, but after the snow field the descent is very fast through decomposed granite and then dirt and rock. I enjoy descending fast and always look forward to reaching the lake or sometimes the outdoor pool at Harvey's. The pool at Harrah's is indoors.

So if it took you 2 hours & 20 minutes to go up, how long does it take to go down?

Wow you are way to ambitious for me no running in my life the riding will do. Thanks again for the info on table 19.
Thanx for the nice report Reading about that high roller play really made me queasy though; would be interesting to know if they ever hit an RF or ow much they actually lost
Hey, TB, nice report on Tahoe!!!

You and even that duck look in better shape than
yours truly these days.

My treadmill has cobwebs on it.

Congrats on your Royal!!!

I'll have to make a trip up there this summer.

That's a nice picture of those 5 girls!!!

Who took it, Jennifer?

I take it she was not one of the five, right?

Did you happen to tell Jennifer which one was your favorite?

You are a brave soul.

Thanks for writing!!!

AG- 1 hr 20 min for the descent. Faster in the past prior to my injuries and new parts. When I was younger I ran a number of marathons and have climbed a few mountains.

J21- Thank you! Jennifer is not in that shot but the blond girl on my right side (camera left) looks very much like Jennifer. If you get time, try and make a Tahoe trip this summer- big fun.
