Las Vegas Spring Break Trip- 3/22-3/25

Glad you're having a great time.  But any time is great time without students.

Happy you got a little rest.We saw Copperfield 2 years ago.Maybe one last time this year.Waiting to see what shows Southpoint has in June.Have a good luck day.

Tuesday,  March 24-  Plans change quickly in Vegas.   Plan was to go downtown today and meet up with Brent Kline in the afternoon.   

While wife was getting ready I went for a walk.  There is a walking path around the side parking lot in front of the HGVC that the Westgate uses for overflow parking and for RVs and trucks and trailers. The path runs around the back of the HGVC and around the parking lot.  One full lap on the "course" was 1100 steps.  I did 4 rotations before heading back to the room. 

We were staying in a One Bedroom suite that has a king bed and big jacuzzi tub as well as a shower.  It has a living room with 2 couches and a sitting chair and coffee tables. There is a kitchen table as well as full kitchen.   It also has a washer and dryer in the room. 

Breakfast were a couple of breakfast sandwiches from the timeshare deli using a comp we got from assistant manager Angie.   Then we made a stop at the Virgin since we hadn't been there since the change from Hard Rock.  We both got $10 FP for new player sign up.  Ended up playing a new game for me called Cool Jewels,  but after an initial bonus game,  it was no bueno.  Played the Mystery of the Lamp and firecrackers, but lost 2 hundo.  Wife did well and cashed out $150 playing the Hi Score alien game. 

We were on our way to downtown when my wife suggested stopping at the Tuscany for a bit.   It was 10am, and we didn't leave until after 8pm.  Between Mo Mummy and Hi Score my wife played and was only down $200.  I ended up doing well on DaVinci Diamonds and Spooky Link.  I played the firecracker game and Crazy Chickens and dropped down,  but made a comeback on Cleopatras Wild Tiles and ended down about $300.  This also includes a hundo on MegaBucks.  First spin we got 4 of the MegaBuck symbols,  but didn't get the 5th.  We were both getting excited and then growned when it didn't come up on the last reel.  Damn!

The promotion today was for free 14 inch pizza from Marilyn's or a pound of wings and side of fries from Pub 365 with 350 points.  We shared the 14 inch chicken and bacon pizza for lunch and for dinner we went to Pub 365.  I got the wings and fries.  They also had a 4 for $20 promotion, so we got 2 orders of street tacos, chips and queso and an order of taquitos.  We ate the tacos and chips and queso there and took the rest with us back to the timeshare.  The tacos, Asian chili wings and taquitos were good.  Overall had a great time at the Tuscany,  but bummed didn't get to meet up with Brent. 

Left Vegas this morning at 9am.  Breakfast was a protein shake.  We'll eat lunch in Barstow when we get gas.  Hopefully traffic will be as light as it was coming on Sunday.

Thanks, Patsy.  Took us about 3 and a half hours, but that was with two stops.  One for gas and restroom, the other for some bratwurst and German potato salad from a German deli in San Bernardino.
