Up and off to breakfast at the Black Bear Diner. Chris had The Volcano which consisted of 3 cakes, 2 link sausage, 2 slices of bacon, 2 eggs. i got the Thick-Cut Smoked Bacon which consisted of hickory smoked bacon, 2 eggs, fresh fruit and homemade biscuit for total of $18.90 and $3.50 tip. We then proceeded to Ellis Island to play $10 and get $10 slot play from MRB coupon. I played Judge Judy slots and made note that I won $56.50. Chris played Ghostbusters. We then went to Ethel M's to buy 1# box of the alcohol filled chocolates for friend and we bought 1# box of mixed chocolates for us. A pound consists of 48 pieces and is $48. We looked at some of the cactus garden.
Time for lunch. Went to In-N-Out burger drive thru. I'm always amazed at how busy this place is and the different types of people getting food. I got cheeseburger and Chris got double cheeseburger and we split order of fries for total of $7.73. We stopped at LVA office and they didn't have copies of September LVA yet but I bought 2 books-fiction that were on sale for $2 a piece. We ret'd to hotel to go to the pool and relax awhile. Took coupon for free beer and ice cream cone with us and tip money. The choices for free beer were Summer Shandy or Rolling Rock. I had the Summer Shandy and tipped $1. Chris got choc-vanilla twist cone-tipped $1 and shared part of it with me. Chris doesn't drink alcohol, so that is why I didn't share the beer. Time to go back to rm get showered and go to Pinsanity.
Pinsanity was at the Hard Rock on the strip. Chris collects pins from Hard Rock and found out that this event called Pinsanity was being held in LV while we were there so we got tickets. I believe the tickets were $35 a piece. This night you registered and got the schedule, a pin, and buffet dinner. After you registered they had 4 games you played to get tickets for raffle to be held later during the week. The buffet consisted of 2 different salads, twisted mac and cheese, chicken kabobs, steak kabobs, pepperoni and margaherita pizzas, pretzels with cheese dip. The buffet was suppose to be from 6pm-8pm. When we went through the line there was one lone pretzel left that was hard as a rock so I figured it was only 7pm and they would bring more pretzels out-wrong. So now I'm wanting a pretzel with cheese sauce. Desserts were caramelcorn, churros with caramel or chocolate sauce, sliced apple slices, sm cones with cotton candy in them or apples coated with oreos. The churros were alright. The whole apples were so tough you couldn't even bite into them. After dessert they introduced new pins for purchase. There were numbers on your badge and that is how people got in line to purchase pins. Chris got 2 different pins. Alot of the people there were dealers and I'm sure they were buying pins to make money on them. Needless to say I'm not to impressed and the people are not friendly. Time to move on.
Decided to check out Tix 4 Tonight to see if they have tickets for Rock of Ages for next night which they do. We get middle priced tickets for total of $150. Gal tells us their ticket place open until 10pm so we decide to go get tickets since only about 8:25pm. We get to ticket office at Venetian at 9:10pm and find out they close at 9pm-will have to come back tomorrow. On way back to parking garage go through food court and get my fresh unsalted pretzel with cheddar cheese for whopping $5.35, but I'm now satisfied. Back to the Orleans to play some slots and to bed. Will finish reports tomorrow night or Tuesday. It's back to work tomorrow.
