Las Vegas Trip 2013-Sept. 2nd-6th Day 3

Breakfast at the Orleans buffet, while waiting in line visited with another LVA member and I'm sorry I can't remember her name. I think she was by herself and after we got seated I felt bad that we didn't ask her to join us. Some mornings my brain just isn't thinking especially when on vacation. Don't exactly remember the price but if you use your players card you get $1 off plus we had $10 food credit so for the both of us was between $7-$8 plus tip. The line for omelets wasn't to bad so I had an omelet and few other items from buffet. We always enjoy this buffet. This is the first time I've seen wheat waffles.

Back to Venetian to turn in vouchers to get Rock of Ages tickets for tonight. We then went to Zombie Apocalypse store. I love their display of trucks, etc outside in the parking lot. I'm a big Walking Dead fan. I got a postcard, and a magnet. On a previous trip I got coffee mug with the welcome to Las Vegas sign with zombies on it. Chris got a machete. They have interesting items. Next we went to SouthPoint to get vouchers for Dennis Bono show on thursday. Thanks Westie for info on how to get tickets. Then we went to Palms to play some slots-played the Willy Wonka Chocolate factory-was disappointed I never got the bonus where you are traveling down chocolate river. Chris had free night so he checked in and we went to check room out since we had never stayed there before. We didn't end up staying there-didn't want to have to move for one night. They have nice flat screen tv on wall and room was modern design-didn't think it was as big as rm at Orleans. For our slot play at the Palms we each got grated cheese jar.

Back to the Orleans for some pool time. It was so relaxing to go and sit by pool even for just an hour. The summer in Ohio wasn't the greatest and I didn't get much time at the pool at our condo. So being in LV was like finally having some summer. Usually we go to LV in December and I only remember one other time we actually went to pool. Time to get ready for dinner.

Dinner at Prime Rib Loft. Had reservations for 5pm and showed up about 4:50pm-they won't seat you until 5pm. I had $24 special of 2-3oz petite lobster tails and sirloin steak which came with green beans, baked potato, and also you had choice of soup or salad. We both had salad. It has been a long time since I remember eating at restaurant that brings you chilled fork for salad. They also had great dinner rolls. The baked potatoes they bring out on cart with dinner and put your butter, sour cream, bacon, chives on right there. Chris got a 14 oz prime rib which was mooing when brought to table-medium rare. The food and presentation was awesome. we had cheesecake for dessert which had raspberry sauce and chocolate sauce-yummy thick rich not that fluffy stuff. Dinner was around $52 which we got $10 off with other food credit. Left $12 tip. was very enjoyable dinner and would recommend eating there.

Time to go to Rock of Ages. Our seats were in section 1, row R, seats 14 and 15. We were in last row on right when looking at stage in first section-aisle seat and next seat. We really enjoyed the show and the 80's music. It wasn't exactly the same storyline as the movie. Tickets were $150. One of the actors use to be on Bold and Beautiful soap. I remarked to my Chris that I didn't remember him being that buff or tall on show. Us women deserve some eye candy, too! Return to the Orleans for some gambling and to bed.
Sounds like a nice day! How did the gambling go?
Thanks for the report! I do like meeting up with other LVAers.
