Las Vegas Vacation w/ Crazy fun pals

Sue, typical of N'cat and I. We didn't know we were going there until we were halfway there.
I was hungry, she wasn't much. We had free buffets at Cannery, but I nixed that. I knew N'cat could stand us picking where we ate. I have a lot of points and figured, we'd never tried Aliente, so we went.

And we both found the bricket. It's very good. What sold me: steak fajitas. Excellently seasoned. We hit a real peak. All the stations were running out of food and the staff were running to restock. By the time we were leaving, everything was restocked, and everyone was leaving and there was no line.

And yes, I know some camp songs. But me NOT singing is a blessing. N'cat gets enough of it when Buffet comes one -- and crowds suffer as we walk by Margaritaville.

And Spock-like linearity says if we were to meet at Starbucks then we meet at Starbucks. Never thought to look for you outside.
Oh Bum..
You do know it's me, not you.

I suffer from such childhood trauma, then my brain (which only works when I don't want it to) goes back to when I had no tools, then the fear adrenaline floods my cells and it takes me time to be rational, to calm down..never thought to STAY at Starbucks. never because being late is practically unforgivable in my world.
Listen , I think one major meltdown per trip is good for me

Sue!!! "John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt" - one of my dad's favorite; which means I heard it 100,000 times. Good Times being German and all. We have to give Cannery a show next time we're all together.
CLV-- shaking head-why am I not surprised it's just me and you know the "Other Version". You and I are.. I swear ..connected.

oh you have no idea.

i spent nineteen days in beautiful las vegas nevada.

my last night was new years eve. i went to bed around 1:00 am and the strip was packed with people and there was garbage EVERYWHERE.

the next day was my last day so i got up at 5:00 am and went outside and the strip was spotless. they cleaned it up so fast.

i get home that night and UGH.

it was a week after the blizzard. brooklyn was FILTHY. unplowed black snow everywhere and the garbage - TONS of garbage. leftovers from christmas dinners and just so much black plastic trash bags as far as the eye can see.

im sure you know what im talking about, but i didnt see it grow, i saw it all at once and brooklyn looked like a third world country.

it smelled gross too.

i also could not get from the cab to my apartment because the black snow banks blocked me from getting up onto the sidewalk so i had to walk in the middle of the street, back to the corner in filthy black slush and dodge the endless bags of trash all over the damn place.

i travel a LOT and coming home to nyc is always depressing, but this time it really took the cake.

ive spent pretty much every day since returning home booking flights and hotels the hell AWAY from here for most of 2011.

anyway, back to YOU.

i am now addicted to ultimate x, but i need to play it in penny only. i played nickels and did really well (hit two royals on the same machine, but neither had a multiplier). so now im boycotting nickels and i can not do quarters.

thanks for sharing!

Exactly, lol. J-M, you and TB are such complete opposites. You need him to keep you grounded and safe in Vegas. He needs you to provide fun. You're perfect complements to each other.

The standard Noahcat experience. Jittery. Candid. Hilarious.

Had to Google LOTR. (Oh... that... I guess my nerdiness is in remission.)

Red Tumi. I would expect nothing less.

I am now officially Jonesing. I have (moderately) high hopes for August.
Great report and enjoyed reading every frantic word. I am now officially tired.
Whoooo

The best part for me was reading that you found Little Shop of Horrors at the Cosmo.
I loved loved loved that machine but am currently boycotting Palazzo which is where I played it.

I will park myself at Cosmo and hope all the time and $$s I spend on this addiction will pay off with a future room offer.

Thanks,

carol
Wow, what a TRIP! Glad the highs were bigger than the lows!
WHOA !!!!! ........... Noahcat, you sure get a LOT in during your trips.

It was great reading.

Thanks for taking the time to write and share.
It made my Friday, after waking to a snow-shovelling, slow-commuting, PIA snow storm today.

J. Brooklyn only tends to us like that during the NY Marathon-- clean streets before and after quick-- ur right, other than that we get the dirty end of the stick.

This is one butt ugly town right now.
meh.

Ux. X pennies can be found at Cannery/ They have 4 machines by the exit to the parking gargae elevator.
I an not sure if M has pennies but their machine are slant top non-glares w/ the best placed low flat, wide buttons- dreamy!!!! - Is there anything as wonderful as winning on a game you love?!? answer: no there's nothing better

My new evil love is Double Super Times Pay-- possible to get 20X your bet!!! but 21 coins for 3 lines- yikkers We got plenty of action both at M and Aliante w/ those..
JM, another classic report!!

Hey, I wonder how far you traveled on foot?

I'm guessing 12 miles? LOL

It sounds like you won a little and had fun doing it, right?

Bum does sound like the perfect escort for you, feet firmly on the ground type.

Glad to hear you got some sleep on the flight home!!!

Thanks for writing!!!
