I know it’s a late report, but here it goes.
Me and the wife stayed three comped nights at the Paris Hotel during the middle of October. It was one of our best trips ever. We hit something on the VP machines every day we were there and everywhere we went. We hit at several different places, We hit $800 a couple of time at the Paris. Pulled out $700 from Planet Hollywood. Hit for $800, $500 and $600 from Bally’s and hit another $800 at the Rio. I played in the VP tournament at Bally’s and did fairly well. Finished 26th out of over 700, netting $700 in free play, which I turned into $900 cash.
We spent a morning downtown at the D. Played the refurbished Sigma Derby horse racing machine they had upstairs. That brought back memory from trips past. Also played the old VP machines at the D upstairs that still pay out in coins. Hit a small $200 four aces and cashed out the quarters. Yes the hopper ran out and I had to wait to have it reloaded to finish the pay, but it was fun and again brought back memories. We also stopped by Mermaids while downtown and had the fried Twinkies and Oreos. They may not be good for the body but they are great for the soul. Did not know at the time that Twinkies would become a hot commodity.
We also eat at the Bally’s steakhouse, third time; and as usual it was great.
Anyways, we had a great time, I have already booked our trip for January. We are comped three nights at Bally’s.
