SUN 7/31: Today's our last full day of our low key trip. Decided to have bkfst at the Spice Market Buffet at the Ho w/2-1 coupon and points. Have read good and bad about this buffet. Well, let's just say we won't return. You would think it was good with the crowd that was there. Nope! At least they had good cotton candy so we could leave on a good noteEscaped the buffet and headed over to the Palms to see a movie.Had originally planned to see Cowboys and Aliens but then son saw Horrible Bosses on the list and really wanted to see that. Was really funny, if a little raunchy, and we had a good time. When we left, it was pouring rain outside! Luckily, we had been able to park close and only had a few puddles to dodge.Went back to Cosmo as son wanted to do the shops again and I wanted to do my rebate.
Got to the Cosmo parking garage, thanks to an LVA'er tip of where to turn, and found a green lit parking space. But, when we opened the car door, we couldn't believe how HOT it was in there! This below ground parking garage seemed to have NO ventilation. Damn, if a drunk person fell asleep/passed out in there, they would die in no time!!!Considering all of the clubgoers I saw last night, that was a distinct possibility.Went inside and we agreed to meet in a couple hrs. He went on his merry way and I went to the Imagine desk. The gal who helped was also a "Tracy" and looked up my account. Said for some reason it wasn't showing my net loss. Showed a bunch of winning cashouts but no overall account balance like it should. I explained those cashouts weren't winners as I cruised the machines and lost overall. She said she could see that and she would give me the rebate even though it didn't show a loss. She said she would do this since there seemed to be a problem w/the system. I think it was because we were both "Tracy's" Decided to play my FSP on the only machine that actually paid me any $$$ last night. I can't remember what it was called but it was behind a gorilla machine and it had horses on it. Well, I put in $20 and punched in my info for the $100 FSP. I played 50 cents/spin to make it last (all lines w/2xmultiplier) and turned that FSP into almost $400 after all of the bonuses and such! Cashed out and would play $20 in that machine and the one next to it in turn, cashing out after some nice bonuses. All told, made profit of over $800 from those 2 machines before it was time to meet Rick. Cashed in all my tito's and we met and headed over to the IP.
We had wanted to use our free online coupons to see the Auto Collection for the millionth time but it was 5:50 and it closed at 6. So, decided to go the next am.Now, it was too early to head back to the Ho. And, we had not made plans to see a show this trip. We've been to LV so many times that there was no more sightseeing we wanted to do; plus, I had to be careful not to walk too much. So, we decided to head to Bill's Tix for Tonite to see if there were any shows we wanted to see. Well, many were already starting by 7 and the shows we were interested in were dark that night. Oh well, decided to go to dinner and went back to the IP to the car. Drove over to Firefly for tapas but was waaaay too crowded. Didn't want to go to EI d/t been there, done that. Son was game so we decided to drive to the Steak and Shake at the Southpoint.
Had read good things about the S&S and was busy so expected good food. Well, I was pretty disappointed. We both ordered cheeseburgers/fries and shared onion rings. I also ordered a strawberry shake and Rick ordered chocolate. The meat was flavorless and almost burnt. The fries were okay, onion rings were good. The strawberry shake tasted too artificial and Ricks chocolate shake barely tasted like chocolate. Nice servers and low prices but I won't be returning. After dinner, Rick wanted to check out the arcade so I went to play a Neptune's Kingdom II for a few.
Now, these machines are hard to find anymore and are one of my favorites. Since I only had about 20min before I was to meet Rick, I didn't get a new players card. I put $20 in and played 60cents/spin, got a bonus right away, and made a profit of over $150, woohoo! Then, on the way to cash out that ticket, saw another Neptune on the other side of the machine and put in $5. Got a bonus right away for another $50! Okay, cashed out and was ready to meet Rick before he was!
Left the Southpoint and headed back to the room for some TV/reading and then some zzzzzzzz. Going home tomorrow and we're both ready! We love LV but are getting kinda bored w/it and sure miss home when we're away for only a few days.
