I have misplaced my notes, so I'm doing my best to remember what we did and using receipts I kept also. We are still at The Orleans and today is Young at Heart Day-promotions for those 50 and over. I'm 53 and Chris is 52. If you get so many points on players card you can get voucher for free breakfast, lunch, or dinner. If I remember correctly 50 points for free breakfast buffet, and 100 points for free lunch or dinner buffet. Chris went down shortly after 7am and earned enough for free breakfast, so we ate at buffet, $10.88. Gambled awhile until we each had enough for free dinner.
We are to meet a friend Ruthie who lives in Vegas at South point to pick up tickets to see Dennis Bono show on Thursday. On the way we stopped at Hollywood Car Museum, $30 admission. They had many cars from movies and TV shows. They had several James Bond cars which Chris enjoyed. They also had robot that looked familiar but I couldn't remember from what movie, it was Johnny Five from Short Circuit. I'm not a car fanatic, but enjoyed looking at the cars. We met a guy who goes by "HellKat" who gave us a list of some other car places to visit and starred a few that he thought would be the best to visit. Needless to say we didn't make it to any, but have saved the list for further adventures. We met Ruthie at SP and got tickets and visited her awhile and made plans with her for Thursday.
We had some time before going to show so stopped at 99 cent store, although they should call it the dollar store because that is what they charge you. Spent $4.08-got 2 bags of pop chips, 2 packs containing 3 Ho-Ho's in each pack-that was a snack before the chocolate melted, and some post-it notes. Strange as it sounds we stop at the 99 cent because you never know what they are going to have. Also stopped at Big Lots to get phone charger which we thought got packed, $5.41, it'll be nice to have extra charger, hopefully will get packed next trip.
Next stop Planet Hollywood Sin City Theater for 4pm show, Murray Celebrity Magician. We got vouchers at Tix 4 Tonight, $51.26, general admission tickets. Our seats on tickets were row GAO, seats 13 and 14. We were seated in second row the 3rd and 4th seats, the show was not very crowded. We only knew of Murray from Pawn Stars and know he had shows previously at the Tropicana. Show was funny and entertaining. We parked at Miracle Mile shopping area so on way out we stopped at the Tervis store and spent $70.64 with 15% off from coupon shopping booklet. 3 of the items are Christmas gifts, for myself I got a Walking Dead cup with Daryl on it and also says "If Daryl Dies We Riot", Chris got a large Ohio State cup. If you aren't familiar with Tervis cups they are made in America, keeps drinks hot or cold, and are dishwasher safe and have lifetime guarantee. I highly recommend them.
Back to The Orleans for dinner buffet, free for us with vouchers earned from Young at Heart Day. Was heading back to table and a man from table besides us was putting his dirty plate on our table and when he saw me approaching took plate back, some people are clueless about buffet manners. It really annoys me when someone picks up a clean plate and then for some reason place back on clean plates after they have handled plate. Enjoyed the food other than had ice cream which just wasn't very good. Time for some gambling, since I've misplaced my notes have no idea, although I know I played slots, and probably lost. Since the ice cream wasn't good had to visit Baskin Robbins and got some awesome peanut butter chocolate one dip ice cream. On way back to room Chris says lets check our players cards. There was voucher for $10 off food at certain restaurants but was confusing if it was only good for this day or for 24 hours, we each got one. We stopped at Cafe to make sure voucher would be good for breakfast the next day, and they told us it was good for 24 hours. Time to return to room for night.
