Another day in Vegas. Enjoying our time other than vacation always goes by way to fast. We had breakfast at the Courtyard Cafe. We both got breakfast called Deuces Wild-2 eggs, 2 pieces bacon, 2 sausage links, and 2 pancakes. I got coffee to drink and Chris got orange juice. Bill was $21.04, but only ended up being $1.04 thanks to each of us having $10 voucher.
Decided to head over to Ellis Island since we had ACG and LVA MRB coupons. You play $10 through slots and then get $10-$100 free play. I played the Walking Dead and ended up with a $7 win before getting free play, Chris lost $10 on Planet Moolah. I got $10 free play which I turned into $19 playing the Walking Dead again. Chris got $20 free play-I don't remember what he played but know that he ended up winning $20 some dollars, so he came out ahead. We didn't realize that Ellis Island also had Senior Day on Thursday, so once we found out we signed up and scanned our cards. We each got free beer, which you could also use for rootbeer, and I also won bag of small doritos. We each had a slice of Metro Pizza, Thursday is BOGO, I got supreme, and Chris got meat, total $4 and with free rootbeers we had lunch.
Time to go to SP to meet Ruthie at 12:45pm to go to Dennis Bono Show. We always get our tickets the day before, all you need is a SP players card and you can get free ticket. They open the showroom an hour before, and every time we go it is a full showroom. I've been told that morning they actually number some tickets and they get to go in first, we have never tried that because it would be extra trip to SP. While in line and prior to show we visited with Ruthie. She has lived in Vegas for awhile and had never been to Dennis Bono Show due to working. Now she is retired and will be able to take advantage of some of the free things in Vegas. The show started on time and they gave away some gift certificates-none of us won. Chris and I both enjoyed show. I don't remember the name of the first guest who helped co-host the show. She usually sings Barbara Streisand songs but she chose a Sound of Music song to sing. Dennis Blair was another guest-he was funny and entertaining. Jimmy Hopper played the piano and sang a song, and told some about a upcoming Broadway show that he wrote music for. Not sure when it'll be starting on Broadway. Last was group called Dangerous Curves which consisted of 3 women who sing. Chris and I thought everyone was good and entertaining. We are by no means critics, but got the feeling Ruthie wasn't to impressed. She use to sing in bands and also does Karaoke, so I'm sure she would be more critical than us. We asked her if she enjoyed the show, and she thought was just ok, not sure if she would go back or not.
We left SP and will meet Ruthie at Ellis Island for supper. We ate at the BBQ, no waiting. Chris got ribs, and us girls got chicken. Chris and I got water to drink and Ruthie had diet cola. All the dinners came with coleslaw, baked beans, garlic toast, and 2 small corn cobs. Dinners were tasty. Bill $29.96 for the 3 of us using LVA MRB coupon and discount for having players card. We had our goodbyes, and told Ruthie when and if we come back to Vegas will definitely get together.
Onward to Planet Hollywood for Jeff Dunham show. Since we had some time we decided to play some slots at PH. We each lost $20 on Battleship slot machine. We both enjoyed the Jeff Dunham show. I didn't see any empty seats. He told us the last week he was in LA taping a special for NBC and also did Comedy Central show. This Thursday his special on NBC is on. We had seen him some years ago at Caesars. We both thought he was more hilarious then the last time we saw him. I can't decide which character I like best, Achmed or Walter. After the show we went out on the strip to see Bellagio fountain show, and also stopped by ABC store to get some waters, $2. Got back to the Orleans at almost 10pm and got sundae, $6.04 with $1 off coupon for doing survey from night before at Baskin Robbins. After doing well earlier with gambling things went downhill losing $30 on Brittany Spears slot, and lost another $10 on other slots. have had enough and return to room.
