The Silverton has wonderful mattresses and pillows, slept well last night. We ate breakfast at the Sundance Grill-very tasty. I had bacon, swiss cheese, chive omelet that came with toast, and I'm thinking hash browns. Chris had breakfast burrito, $20.54. Went back to room and headed for pool. I can't believe the water was very cold, so didn't go into pool, but enjoyed just lounging around for about 2 hours. Not to many people at pool at 10am. All of the cabanas had reserved signs on them so imagine later it got busy. Ret'd to room and showered.
Decided to go look around Town Square. We actually didn't look around that much. Got some cookies and ice tea at Nestle Cookie. We got turtle cookies-they were awesome, of course they are overpriced, but they are an occasional treat. Time to find some late lunch. In-N-Out Burger again. I had cheeseburger, Chris had double-double, fries, and 2 small drinks, $11.46. This place is always busy. We go to the one on Tropicana. Looked at the store there and decided to head down to Cashman field.
Saturday night and we are going to the baseball game. Las Vegas 51s vs Tacoma Rainiers. Tonight is Komen jersey/ fan appreciation night. When we got tickets, $30 were told if we wanted jersey to be at stadium by 5:51pm to be in line at the latest. Got there between 4:45pm-5pm and already was a good line. Parking $4. Chris got water, $3 to sip while waiting in line. There was a radio station there playing music and a band was playing also. Finally at 6pm, gates open and we got our jerseys. Our seats were good. section F9, row E, seats 5,6. Before game they had a presentation with cancer survivors. Throughout the game they gave away things to seats drawn for fan appreciation. We didn't win. The 51s one the game. There was a gentleman seating probably 4-5 rows ahead of us that had a trumpet and would play taps each time other team changed pitchers, he also had tambourine and tap bell which he used instead of clapping to the song, he had good timing. I imagine he has been doing this for years and is season ticket holder. There were 3 teenager boys who sat to the left of me that were annoying, up and down constantly through game, then toward the end of the game were yelling yahtzee when pitcher was pitching. While at the game we got 2 waters and nachos with chicken, cheese sauce, sour cream, salsa, no jalapenos, $15.50. The lady couldn't believe we didn't want jalapenos-she asked me twice, are you sure no jalapenos. Guess I'm in the minority when it comes to jalapenos. Wasn't bad getting out of parking lot.
Headed back to Silverton going up strip to see lights. Traffic was crazy. Made it back to the Silverton. Gambled a while, losing and decided to return to room and go to bed.
