Labor Day. Our last full day in Vegas. Time went by quickly. Had breakfast at Coronado Cafe at SP. I had 2eggs, bacon, toast, hash browns. Chris had croissant bacon sandwich, waters to drink, total $18.81. Haven't played bingo in forever so decided to give try. There was coupon in SP booklet they gave us at check-in. We have never used electronic bingo devices so decided to try, total $42. We went to 11am session, it was first session of day so had pastries and water available. Electronic was mindless. Just watched cards. When you got down to one number left for bingo would beep, and if you won played music. Needless to say we never heard music coming from our machines. It was fun even though we didn't win. I should have asked what playing paper bingo cost to know the difference, figured we would have to buy daubers so electronic might have ended up the same. The portable electronic units were more expensive than the ones on tables that weren't portable.
We usually go at least once or more to Pinball Hall of Fame. About a month or so before we leave we start saving quarters and put in mini M&M's plastic containers, fit quarters perfectly. We each had $12.75 in quarters to use. I'm the absolute worse pinball player ever. If the ball is coming down where the flippers are mine will go right to the middle where the flippers don't reach or if goes down on side at bottom 99% of time will go down the one where you don't get second chance with flippers. Chris will play and get free games. I played centipede and a bowling pinball machine which I did alright with. We played for quite awhile and they have a few chairs when you come in so I had enough and found Chris and told him I was done and was going to sit down. He played a short while more. I think we each had about $6 left. This was the busiest we have seen he pinball place, but was holiday so alot of kids with parents there. Usually we are there during early afternoon during week.
Next stop the Hershey store and looked around at Coca-Cola and M&M's store. Got some candy at Hershey's by the pound-not much just enough to eat a little. They had new flavor of kisses only available in Vegas, vanilla creme-they were good but didn't need whole bag plus worried they would melt. Time for lunch, don't laugh but went to In-N-Out burger for one last time. Changed it up a little, 2 cheeseburgers, medium diet coke, and xlg regular coke, total $9.08.
Back to SP to go to pool, relax a little. Went to pool and really didn't pay that much attention but no one in pool. Chris went to go in pool and lifeguard yelled at him to get out of pool. We were not sure what was going on, but every time someone went to get in pool was told to get out. Decided I wanted another towel to roll and put under my neck, so went to get another and asked lifeguard by towels what was going on. Was told they had bio-hazard event, had to treat-shock the pool and would reopen at 4:30pm. Chris decided to go back to room because we both wanted to shower and watch part of the Ohio State game before going out in evening. About 4:45pm I decided I better head up to room to be showered so would be able to watch game. I was heading toward elevator and saw Chris get on elevator with 2 security people. Wondered what was going on? Get back to the room and found out room key card didn't work and they had coded 2 new room key cards, but since Chris didn't have ID-locked in safe, they had to make sure it was his room. Chris had his room key card next to his cellphone and they thought it was demagnetized due to that. We both showered and watched football game until half time and decided to head down to Fremont Street.
We parked in garage where we would have to pay to park, but told Chris it was more centrally located and didn't feel like walking up from El Cortez. They should rename it Freakmont Street. What people will do and dress to get tips. We saw 2 girls painted with g-strings. Chris told me about gal dressed as nun who had fan that said tips and would flash her breasts. The absolute worse was guy with orange thong that had orange mesh covering his face with tip container stating pay me to get dressed. I've come to conclusion that they must make some money or they wouldn't do it. We watched the Dancing DJ Michelle for quite awhile-she definitely earns her money, at one point she had 4 hula-hoops going. Managed to see 3 of the Fremont Experience shows, 8pm-Heart, 9pm-Imagine Dragons, 10pm-The Who. Ate at Pizza Rock, I had pepperoni slice, and Chris had slice of the day-he thinks it was pepperoni and meatballs, diet coke for me, and Chris had lg Mexican Coke, total $17.25, pizza hit the spot and was yummy. I'm not sure I liked there set-up, restaurant part you had to order full pizza to be seated there, otherwise they had small area which was full of people or eat outside. We ate outside which was fine with weather being nice. Stopped at ABC store and got 2 waters, 2 hot/cold bags, a set of pens, 2 calendars, $21.45. Also stopped at other gift shop and got 2 zippered change purses to put payers cards in when we get home, and pen and notepad, $12.87. Left after 10pm show. Parking cost $6. Went up strip to see LV lights at night one more time since going home the next afternoon. Ret'd to SP. We both gambled some each losing $60.
