March Anniversary Trip

I really liked staying at Green Valley Ranch

Day 6 sat we got up early and went to the cafe for the late night breakfast specials.  We split the pancakes for 4 bucks and then went back to the room and got ready for the day. After making our sportsbook bets , we headed to Resorsts World for some mimosas.  No big wins , but ended about even before heading to the Palms to play a little and use our LVA coupon for the dinner Buffet.  Good buffet, They had the crablegs, peal and eat shrimp, and the brisket was amazing.  Lots of good food and we left totally stuffed. I think the brunch is a better value if you go after 11 when the lunch items come out.

We headed back to Green Valley Ranch to watch games and play for the night.  Fun times , but no wins.  Even with the high min. the tables were all packed on the weekend, except for craps.  They used to have 4 tables going and now usually just one.

      I will post more tomorrow

Day 7 sun we checked out of Green Valley, but still ate ate the cafe for breakfast,  We split the Eggs , hashbrowns bacon and toast, which was plenty for both of us.  We made some sports book bets and headed back to Resorts World for mimosas.  Good drinks and break even play.

We decided to walk down to Fontainbleau to check it out and do the sign up freeplay.  Stoped to walk through Slots of Fun.  What a dive tourist trap, but people were playing.  I didn't see anyone using a players card. Easy walk to the FB, and a guy just inside signed us up for a new card with 25 bucks free play each.  It was nice we didn't have to go to the players club because it was all the way in the back. This place is nice but the set up is pretty wierd.  Only the one bar with video poker and it is in the small sports book.  The bartender was not real friendly, but he made us some good drinks.  I did not check out the paytables for vp, but the keno tables were full pay 100 for 4 spot.  Unheard of on the strip, and the same as the Rainbow club.  We each cashed out over a hundred on our free play and headed back to Resorts World.  We will probably go back , and today I recieved an offer for no resort fees and 125 a night.  Back at Resorts world we hit the high limit bar for a little more play before heading out.

Next stop was The Martini on fort apache for the 15 dollar steak special on sundays.  8oz filet with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Very good as always.  we also got a few nice glasses of wine while we played at the bar and broke even.Diffinately worth the drive out there for a good meal.

We then went to the Suncoast to check in for 3 comped nights with 30 free play and 20 food credit.  The casino is a little torn up right now with the remodel, so we didn't play here as much as normal.  But we did have fun at the high limit bar with the new bartended Neta.  As in Need a drink !  Too bad it was only open once in 3 days.

We hit Red Rocks for the rest of the night, with me on a slow drain and the wife figuring some things out on video keno.  Dinner was once again at the cafe for the cheeseburger special.  After that we headed back to Suncoast for the night.

Excellent trip report.  Thanks for sharing.

For sure a great way to save on food is splitting the entree, sandwich, whatever, as you did.  So many times we forgot that and each ordered a full meal...mistake.  Portions are 99.99% of the time big enough for two.  Maybe order an extra side or something if in doubt.

Enjoyed the TR very much.

Day 8 monday we slept in and then headed downtown.  Brunch was at Saginas' at Circa where we spilit  the chicken salad samdwich which was great with our 20 dollar food credit.  We played  for awhile overlooking the sportsbook.  It seems like the paytables change every time we come, and drink service sucks too/  We lost a little and then walked do to check out the upgrades at El Cortez.

Loved the new Bar s at El Cortez.  We got the Free play with the alliagent boarding pass, and hit the new showroom bar. The bartender was a jerk at first, but once he saw we were playing he took good care of us.  Good drinks and decent pay tables and pretty smoke free.We both made over a hundrednad then back to the car to head to Red Rock.

Dinner was at 8 noodle which was awsome.  i had the dan dan noodles and she had orange chicken with the egg rolls. After dinner the wife caught fire on the video keno.  First at the Lucky bar playing nickels and then the highlimit bar playing quarters.  5 spots, lots of 5 spots.  Me not so much, but I took one for the team, as she was hot.

   I will post more tomarrow

Thanks again for taking time to share. After a long time Las Vegas visitor.I finally learned the art of sharing a meal. The portions are so large.Of course coupons for buy one get one free doesn't work.Yet places with percentage discharge work well.I started a few years back but at Binions Steak house. They allow sharing. The steaks are huge and old time all the trimmings. We get a salad,One extra side and glass of wine.Because it's my birthday weekThey give a big free dessert.I bet you may get a anniversary dessert.

I thought our 2022 retirement vacation that included 9 days in LV was busy.

Wow! You sure know how to roll! I can't wait for the story of the hike down and back to the bottom of the Grand Canyon.  We watched it from the rim!

I do like the hotel hopping. I'll consider that in the future.

The advantage of a long trip is being able to do what you never could going with other couples.

Day 9 tuesday we made some sportsbook bets and had breakfast at Dupars at the Suncoast  Pretty good but the prices keep going up. We used our food credit, and then played our freeplay at the bar with no wins.  Next stop was the PGA superstore behind Redrocks. Always fun looking at the large selection, and we picked up some clothing items.

Since tuesday is 10 x points day at Boyd we headed back to Alliante.  Once there we decided to eat at Rubios tacos in the food court.  This was a great choice.  We got 4 fish tacos all made fresh for 11 bucks.  They also have one at Red Rocks and we always forget how good they are.  We played the rest of the day mostly at the bars playing dimes.  i stayed about even, but the wife was still hot playing multi card video keno.  She hit a 6 spot and 3 5spots on one draw alone..  She kept giggling and say kiss me I just hit another one.  Fun times

For dinner we decided to try Rosatis on N Fort Apache and use the 2 dor 1 coupon from the LVA . The place was pretty busy, and the food all looked great.  We shared a ceasar salad, and I got the Lasanga, and she had fetticine alfrado with chicken.  Both were very good and was way too much food. Will diffinately go back.  We headed back to the Suncoast for the rest of the night, and turned in early.

Wed morning we were up very early and checked out and neaded to South point for breakfast since it is close to the rental car.  We got in on the late night breakfast specials for 4 bucks which was very good.  Rental return was quick and easy and the flight home was good.  We did terrible in the sports book this week and at Green Valley on thursday.  We did  great at Alliante both days, and most meals for the week were paid using points..  Fun trip, and we already have the next one booked !

Having a future trip booked makes leaving less painful.  Great job on your TR!
