Me and my sis quick trip to CP and Gordon Ramsay Steak(GRS) 5/24 to 5/26

Left San Fernando Vly 7:30pm on Thursday night due to sister working until 6:45pm. No traffic by that time, and got to Barstow outlets by 9pm. Stayed in a very large suite at Hampton Inn that night(too tired to drive another 3 hours to LV). Left for LV next morning at 6:30am after the Hampton Inn breakfast.

Got to 7 stars/diamond check in at CP by 9:30 am and checked in, although we had to wait for our room to be cleaned. It was worth the wait, got a great Augustus Tower Deluxe room with great view of Bellagio fountains. It cost me $300 in reward credits due to the holiday weekend. I had reserved this type room, but you know how they don't guarantee what you reserve.

Went over to Tix4tonight at Bill's Gambling Hall, but didn't see anything we wanted that didn't conflict with our reservation at GRS that evening. Went back to CP to invest our money.

I won about $800 on an old standby-Mr. Cashman(Jewel of Enchantment) thank you whoever was playing on my fav African Dusk when I first checked out the Mr Cashman slots.

Played "Clue" for about 3 hours won $500 there.

Had dinner reservations for GRS.
Walked over to Paris and were immediately taken through the chunnel into the restaurant. Seated in the upper level due to being diamond I think. Waiting staff is wonderful. there when you need them, but not hovering over you. Richard was our server and Sean was his assistant. Very friendly and eager to answer any questions or offer suggestions.

The food as reviewed by a meat and potatoes type, not a fine diner.

Sis and I split the Beef Wellington for 2, sis liked it, I found out I like mustard on a cold beef sandwich, but not on a warm great piece of perfectly cooked filet. The filet was a magnificent piece of beef, will try it next time as just a filet. Or I'll have that 32 oz porterhouse on the meat cart that was so enticing. The beef wellington comes with some root veggies and potato puree on the plate. To be honest, I liked the potato puree better than the wellington. Note, the beef wellington for 2 is brought to the table for your approval and then split into 2 pieces with each getting the root veggies and potato puree on their plate with their half of the wellington. The art of the plated items brought to the table is terrific, GR would be proud. Had the Mushroom tart as a side. It was ok, but would try something else next time.

For dessert we had the toffee thing, expected the cake to be very sweet due to the toffee and extra caramel that is poured on tableside if you opt for that. It wasn't, it was nice, especially with the butter stick shaped ice cream that was awesome.

We had been given the tablet to select our drinks, most of the offered drinks have gin, but since they have a full bar, they can make you whatever you want.

I was surprised by the wide assortment of clothing worn by the guests. We ate at 5:30pm so I didn't see anyone dressed in evening wear, but there were a lot of people dressed very casually. It was such a contrast to how the hosts were dressed.

Went back to CP and played some video poker, lost about $400, went back to "Clue" slots and won a couple of hundred there after 3 hours. The 4 "Clue" machines were paying pretty good so we were all having a great time. Sis played a few slots and was down $600, so she decided to give the Wheel of Fortune machines a go in the High Limit area, she got back all she had lost plus $300, then gave it all back.

Had breakfast Saturday morning at Spice Market Buffer at Pho, used $10 each off coupon in our LVA coupon book. Left CP for Primm so sis who still had a few $$ left could shop at William Sonoma.
Trip home easy, most cars coming into LV not leaving as we were doing.

We had fun in a short amount of time. That's probably why I was still ahead when we left LV.
Thank you for your report. I liked the Clue slots too.

Very nice! Thank you for the report and I want you to keep in mind (in case you didn't make use of it) that if you have an Auto Club (AAA) card, if you take it to I think Customer Service at the Outlets in Barstow and Primm, then you will get an additional coupon book for there which could get you even more savings!

I suggested that to my sis and she didn't want to bother. Oh well it's her money.

Thats a quick trip alright. Glad you had a good time & thanks for the review of GRS. I was curious.
The toffee dessert...yum!
Very nice quickie trip report. Sounds Mr. Cashman likes you a lot!
