Saturday- Checked into the 950 sq. feet One Bedroom Suite at The Signature @MGM. 23rd floor strip view with a balcony…easily the best room the wife and I have ever stayed in!! Full kitchen with SubZero fridge..oven..microwave..dishwasher. Great for storing leftovers and cooking quick breakfast in the morning…really a money saver!! Two bathrooms with the master having double separate sinks and Jacuzzi tub. Headed to dinner at Rice and Company using $50 dollars off when you spend $100 voucher through MyVegas. Place was delicious as always. Ate half of our food and took the rest to the room and into the fridge. Hit the slots for a bit at MGM and scored a $1013 jackpot on Cherries Jubilee progressive (located next to the Majestic Lions ..which seemed to be getting no play all week). Gave a little back at Luxor before calling it a night…not before spending a little bit of time out on that balcony enjoying that Vegas Skyline.
Sunday – Cooked up eggs and bacon sandwiches for an early morning breakfast in the room. Spent the rest of the morning in the MGM Sportsbook watching my beloved Bears get pummeled by the Patriots while the wife got a full body massage…Least one of us had fun ? Devoured the rest of Rice & Company for lunch before using complimentary monorail tickets (MyVegas) to head to the new SLS. Very nice modern redux of the Sahara… Signed up for their new slot club (CODE).. got a few bucks of free play and turned it into 115 dollars playing video Keno (my favorite). Took monorail back to the new Linq area. Very nice what they have done with that walkway up to the HighRoller. Spent the rest of the afternoon at the Mirage before heading to Caesars for the Bacchanal Buffet. We were able to use our Rewards Credits gained through Social Rewards to comp the entire meal ..which was $53.99 per person. They give you a quick tour of the place before seating you. It also comes with one comp beer or wine with each meal. Meal was excellent and the place was gigantic…def recommend to all.
Monday- Fixed more breakfast in the room before heading out to Downtown area. Visited Container Park which was pretty cool. Entire complex of businesses all run out of shipping containers. Bout some beef jerky at JoJo’s and some excellent chocolates at JinJu Chocolates. Jin the owner could not have been nicer. Headed downtown to do a little gambling… Indulged in deep fried Twinkies and Oreos at Mermaids. Stopped into the Golden Nugget for a few to donate some cash and then head back to the strip. Ate Lunch at Mandalay Bay Bayside Buffet (MyVegas Comp). Pretty good food…..nothing too exciting to write home about but it did the job of filling me up until dinner. Did some gambling at Monte Carlo throughout the afternoon until catching the tram over to the Bellagio for dinner.(MyVegas Comp) Bellagio Buffet was quite nice…..excellent choices all around from the prime rib…sushi….crab legs. Very good selection. Gamble a bit and broke even at Bellagio before heading over to Excalibur for a little table game action. Lost a little bit on Let it Ride….and called it a night.
Tuesday- Slept in a little bit and the wife wanted to chill in the room for a bit. She told me to go back down to the casino and hit those Cherries Jubilee machines again and win..haha. I headed back downstairs and sat down at the Cherries and lightning struck twice and I hit it again for $1024 bucks…woohoo!! I love these machines…(third time hitting them in past two trips). Met the wife downstairs and shared my good fortune with her…she said she had a feeling I would hit it again. We headed over to Aria for their Lunch Buffet (MyVegas comp). Aria never disappoints with their buffet. Awesome selection as always and their desserts are always on point. Gambled at the Aria for next three hours and was killing it playing MultiCard Keno again. Headed over to Monte Carlo for Dinner at Brand Steakhouse ( (2) $50 MyVegas Monte Carlo Food Credit Vouchers). We both had the Short Rib, Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes and don’t forget to ask for the Bread (request only). Spent the rest of the evening gambling at Monte Carlo…..wife hit a nice hot streak on the slots. Called it a night but not before hitting up Corner Cupcakes at MGM for some goodies.
Wednesday- Check out day….ate what was left of our breakfast rations. Went downstairs to the MLife booth to see if I was worthy of any comps for my stay. Much to my enjoyment…..they were able to comp off the two most expensive nights (Sat and Sun) and almost 50 bucks off of my food. We were also able to retain our Gold MLife status after this one trip…..with a tick over 77,000 tier points.
Nothing better than visiting one of our favorite places on earth….getting to stay in an awesome room….eat great (mostly free food) and catch fire gambling….. one trip for the ages. Shout out to MyVegas and Social Rewards for feeding my wife and I like royalty for four days… and of course to the Cherries Jubilee machines that have been so kind to me this year. Till next time kids………….
