Sunday we all seemed to sleep a little later except for G&R, they got up and head out by 10 to go down to the M&M store to get candy to take home to some people that had made requests for ridiculously expensive m&m's. At least they didn't stay out all night again. C and I get up and send L a text to see what they were hungry for and by the time we all were ready it was lunch time. Burgers were suggested so the 4 of us went to the burger brasserie, I had a coupon from the room. Burgers were good but I still prefer the old menu and food better. Their service can sometimes be spotty and this day it was, drink refills were few and far between, and they weren't busy. After lunch we didn't want to stray far, Sean from Presidential was picking us up in a limo to take us to the sign for pix and then take us to Monte Carlo. L and I played high card flush for awlile, P went up to the $1 top dollar and C wandered off to play pennies. G&R texted when they got back to Billy's and said they were going to dump their stuff in the room and meet us in the high limit slots. We met up around 1:45 and went out the side door to meet Sean. When I had asked Sean if he could get a limo he joked that he drove and Esclade. I told him we needed a limo and he said sure, he'd get one. Leave it to Sean to show up in a stretch Escalade! We pile in and he tells us there's a bottle of champagne and some waters for us. We cracked open the first screw top sparking wine I've ever had! Roget I think. It wasn't bad. We get to the sign and there's a long line. Sean tells us to go to the right side that he could take just as good a picture just off the side so he took all our phones and took pix. Mother we went to the back side of the sign and took more. I've bee going to Vegas since 1988 and that's the first time I've had my picture at the sign. What great memories. We pile back in the limo and we're off to Monte Carlo. We stopped in the high limit room to play a $5 top dollar that had hit, but no luck. Next stop, minus 5. We buy 3 "couples packages" which I think included "fur" coats for all, souvenir hats, gloves, 2 pictures and a drink each. We had to lock our phones in a locker ( you can't keep anything that heats up...which I said you've got a couple of menopausal women that might have hot flashes...are we ok?). I'll just say I was glad I took socks to wear with my flip flops! Minus 5 is so neat and was really fun with a group. Everything was made of ice, including the glasses, we were told to hold them with both hands. They had some specialty drinks, I had an iceman, then I had a raspberry lemon drop. We had our pictures taken and sat and talked and laughed....and KISS came on and I had to do my Paul Stanley imitation. We all looked really goofy in our hats but we didn't care. I think we were there about an hour and a half, the we got cold.
After minus 5 we still had time to kill before our friend B was getting in so we walked outside Monte Carlo and stopped at the bar at Double Barrel. We sat at the top bar and had a great bartender. I had another raspberry lemon drop, then the bartender told us we needed to try a shot of George Clooney's tequila. I'm not a big fan of tequila so he poured 2 shots that we ended up making into 4 shots. Umm, yuck! We get a text, B's here so we tell him to meet us at Hyde at Bellagio. We head that way, hugs all around. B is there for w conference til Thursday. He shows us a picture from his room at Cosmo, he has a balcony room with a fountain view, nice. Hyde is closed for a private party so C calls Fizz at Ceasars to see if they can take 7 of us, they say come on over. We get to Fizz and everyone gets a drink and we toast the class of 81 and to old friends. We had the best waitress, she was so much fun. Paul Stanley even came out at Fizz, much to everyone's amusement. We had a great time catching up with B, hadn't seen him since 2011 at the 30 yr reunion. Fizz had a photo booth so we all piled in for more pictures. The waitress came in to try to photo bomb us but said "are you ALL in there?" We were stuffed in like a clown car at the circus!
We finally decided we'd had enough booze, it was time to eat so we went to the new food court at Ceasars and placed our orders and met up at a table. I think it was nearly 10 by the time we finished eating. B had to be up early so we said goodbye to him. See us next summer at the reunion B. The rest of us head back to Ballys. The Houston bunch was leaving at 9:30 a.m Monday so G said she was going to bed. R walked her up. C found some $1 slots and L, P and I went to the high limit room to top dollar. I said "L, let's each out in $100 in top dolls and well split the winnings", she said ok. I put my $100 in the $2 max bet machine and it goes quickly. We move over to the $3 max bet machine and put her $100 in. In a few spins we hit the bonus and win $150. We cash out we decided to put $100 back in the machine and a few spins later we hit the bonus for $840 so we cash out and split that. L is thrilled! She's won over $1,000 on top dolls in 2 days. Welcome to the dark side L. L says she's going to bed, I hug her and say I probably won't see them off but will be in touch. By that time R has come back down and wants to go to Paris, so he P and I go to Paris. I went to say goodbye to Andrew and then to play high card flush and the boys go play slots by the hoochie pit. I say my goodbyes in case I don't see them. After another losing high card flush session, I call it a night at 1:30.
The Houston crew texted Monday morning and said they were at the airport and their flight was going be delayed a little. C and I get up and get ready, Sean is picking me up at 11:30, so she and I have a quick breakfast at Hexx, then I get packed. She wasn't leaving til 5 so I got her a late checkout if 2:00. I say my goodbyes to C and head to the airport. Sean said, "that seemed like a pretty fun group", I said for sure! We had so much fun, they were all talking about when we could do it again. The second annual mustangs take Las Vegas trip is now set for May 20-24, 2016. We had a bunch of people from school say they want to go next time, I say the more the merrier. Funny thing, C was the only one of the group I hung around with in school, we were on drill team together. I had several classes with L and knew her pretty well but didn't hang around with G&R much (I think they've been together since we were juniors). L and P see G&R quite a bit since they're all in the Houston area. I thin this group will be seeing more of each other than just at reunions!
This was not a power gambling trip but I still put 1000 TC's on my card so I've secured my diamond for 2016. My friends really liked the line cuts...me too! Next trip is supposed to be July 10 for my bday with my hubby but right now that trip is up in the air. If we don't make July we'll be back in September for sure.
