nearly nothing happened trip+MM

Well, I hope you appreciate bad grammar and spelling. I have adopted the modern style of punctuation & caps, but left my spell checker at home!

Got here saturday, and, trying to learn from posted sages, didn't take a one day comp in 3* as my something something ave would sink. OK, then AZ chaz/boulder was good enuff to let me in for 30 something on Saturday. Not too bad! I think missing out on the breakfast special was my biggest mistake. But, pursuing an average something at HR prompted me to hit their 8/5 BP at 25c first thing Sunday and it bit me. But, hey I squirreled away an extra hundy to play in the afternoon when MM time came.

So I had read in LVA about the Imagine Dragons show outdoors Sunday; not for the public, indeed! So, I grabbed my poor man's ultra book (jacked up chromebook I'm now utilizing) and found El Co had El Vintage at 21 plus Fred's favorite fee. I boogied on downtown to find which aspect on Fremont worked for me and almost got it right. Jimmy the bellman, who came there with Jackie Gaughan, hadn't showed up for work yet, the slacker. He's only 75 years old. So, I got to run alla round and settled on 2260; could I have it? YES!

So I was off to MM. Thanks to Tom M and David AKA statfreak for making it. As is customary, how we've managed to cheat death was discussed, and VP was played. Someone I know whose name ends in freak has really good strategy cards. Did you know when the SF progressive at the 'd' reaches $300, one should hold 2 card SF's? I was unaware. Then my 'ship came in' as 4A's. I'm sure over my career I play 95%JOB. But I've popped 4A there, twice. My new friends were nice enough to not rob and kill me. I think I promised them a drink, for which I'll make good another time. But I bid goodbye to get in place for the 7 PM show on Fremont.

I had to check in at HR, so when I came back downtown i went to 2260 and the key failed. Dang near field tech .What would Jackie think? At the desk, I was told I didn't have 2260. Because they sold it after I went in there noon-ish. Did I leave anything? I'm pretty sure I flushed. So they gave me my dough back. The concert was in a round blacked out stage with diameter the width of Fremont. And I didn't see it.

The rest of my trip happens tomorrow. I'm guessing I don't hit a royal, but move from my nice HR comp to a nicer PHo comp, since CET sweetens it with $35 in TR credits I'll use next week in NOLA, plus freeplay I'll wash without conscience. And the weather will once again be excruciatingly nice. And the flight back will suck.
What a pity you didn't have Imagine Dragon tickets! Last night on the Grammys they performed a commercial LIVE from the El Co!!! They sang "SHOTS" - my personal favorite. It was so awesome!! El Co and other miscellaneous Fremont Street lights were flashing in the background! This group has recently become one of my favorites, had to have been one awesome night for those in attendance.
Have a great trip jmradford!

Or act like humans on a message board...

yah, I did my best, sorry I failed at making my ee cumming style of prose popular, and I absolutely encourage anyone who needs to make my scrawl non grata. thanks and Good luck! Gail, the TIx were not really available. the show was right outside the window of my el co room; however; the room i reserved was sold, again, at about the time I was hosting a meet at the 'D'. Would have liked to have a viewing party for members that night, but it didn't work out.
yes, I understood they resold the room you had meticulously scoped out - bummer! I once went to a summer outdoors concert at Harrahs in Council Bluffs, IA. Patty Loveless was performing. I had tickets and it was great. But the amusing part was, when we checked in, we discovered the window in our room opened up to the back of the stage and we got to see her afternoon sound check/warm up! Pretty fun!
Is council bluffs a nice property, Gail? I picked up my last diamond card a couple days age and want to see some new places. Thanks and Good luck!
Thanks for the report! When a game has something progressive going on, there actually are alternate moves that you're better off making in order to take down that pot! Strategy charts can be adjusted for that! That's where a good training program can come in (if it has a strategy chart function)!

And as I'm now thinking more about it, if this is a Quarter machine that the progressive was on, the SF starts at $62.50 (250 Quarters) and so at $300 (which is 1200 Quarters), holding 2 Card Straight Flushes makes a lot of sense.

Whoops! I didn't care for the casino itself at Harrahs Council Bluffs, but the rooms are very nice and they have some nice dining options. They have a Steakhouse on the 12 th floor (360 Steakhouse) with a wall of windows and it overlooks the Omaha skyline. The view is spectacular, as is the dining experience. Council Bluffs, IA and Omaha, NE are separated only by the Missouri River.
