New Years Eve Vegas Trip, Highlights & Lowlights………….Mostly High
I Flew in Early NYE morning, to be Roadie for hubby Flying in later in the day.
Had Limo booked to pick him up from airport & deliver him Rockstar-style to Caesars, that evening.
Got the Avis rental car. Best deal there, but I booked a Mid-size. Got a Corolla.
Since when is a Corolla midsize? Dinkiest midsize I ever had.
No time to complain, took it and left.
Began my Trek. First stop, after Starbucks drive thru near Blue Diam., is Silverton.
Was originally giving room to friend, but they didn’t need, so I kept the Rezzie anyway
for the Freeplay and Brunch the next day.
Kept it 2 nites instead of 3. (Were going home Mon.)
Did my $100 FP on QQ Wheel. Wow was it Tight. Think I only got One.
Left fairly quickly. Room stay comes with $50 Room credit.
In case I forget……ended up getting $50 in Coffee from Starbucks in Silverton. Charged to room.
Got 4 lbs. of Coffee for $49.80. Perfect!
Next stop, Wynn for $108 in FP that was going to Expire that day. Dec. 31
The place was getting busy. Its ok, I know the selfparking lot, TOP floor the best. Parked right by the Doors.
Got FP loaded onto my Red Card and played it mostly at the 50c. Prog. Bank. Didn’t hit anything good. Left.
Back to the car. Left my coat in car, and Needed it when I got back.
This was the running theme in Vegas……its Freezing Cold outside. Some casinos Freezing too!
Final stop (sort of) Check into Caesars. I parked at Augustus Tower Valet little lot to run in and get room,
and then park in selfparking…………Took Forever in Diam. Check in.
I had requested Strip View room, and guy must have been on the phone 20 mins trying to
find me a room with a view.
Didn’t get Aug. tower, but could get next day? Lol So I took Pal Tower 19th floor.
Worked out FINE. Had View of N. Strip., plus the Caesars party was IN the Pal Tower.
We had 2 nites on MY Caesars rezzie, and one on hubbys. Supposedly Diam ck in Linked our Rezzie?
Found out Sun. nite, he didn’t…….so 9pm we have to trek back to 7*ck in to get keys that work.
And he ended up giving me 4 bags of Godiva coffee for our trouble.......Getting ahead of myself…….
Time is flying by, drive over to Selfparking Lot and its FULL…….I drive around for 30 mins til I finally decide to Valet.
Luckily I had Diam Card cuz they were definitely checking…..Grab the bag & hit the room briefly………
Gotta pick up Wristbands for the Caesars NYE Party.
Doors open for Cocktails at 9:30pm, and Dinner begins at 10. Assigned Tables. Yay.
So you don’t have to Hunt to find a table…….when I picked up our Writstbands,
found out Caesars has Brunch as well.
So Sat morning, had Brunch tickets for 11am.
Got all the tickets, and hubby arriving any minute, and thank gawd I didn’t have to pick him up at the airport.
Streets were being blocked off. Don’t think I could have gotten him any faster than the Limo………
plus was getting Tired already…….we been running since 4am…………I’m in Caesars Casino now,
and so far, not getting anything. No biggie wins….just take, take.
Hubby attempts to Call/text me. Our ATT Iphone reception in Caesars, is terrible.
Hardly ever works!?
This was the case all weekend. Signal in Caesars was Iffy.
We finally meet up in the room by 9 to change for Party.
I dressed in black velvet pants, and dressy Blouse…with black turtleneck underneath.
Not sexy…..LOL…….but again………the theme was stay WARM. (I’m still fighting a cold)
and its Freezing everywhere we went……..He wore black sweater & leather jacket.
They had a photo booth set up outside the ballroom.
Nice picture! They had 3 Photographers set up. First class all the way.
We got there 9:40, looped the room trying to find our Table 253. It was a Huge Ballroom.
Giant chandeliers hanging around the large bandstand/stage in the middle of the room.
There must have been 1,500 guests. It was a BIG party.
A Motown Band was playing up on stage and the stage MOVES, so you could See them
wherever you were in the room.
Now the band was Fantastic, but here’s where Caesars should have Saved their Money…………
The Other entertainment.
Obviously some guy in Promotions was taken with the TV show,
Americas Got Talent……..because the Acts came from there. Lol
They had a young couple who Danced ballroom style, a couple songs. Anna & ?
They had a contortionist type of Hiphop Dancer who danced with Madonna I think…..Hirihito?
Lastly, the Weirdest pick of all…………. Prince Poppycock.
He’s a singer, cross between Elton & Beethoven.
Flaming queen in high Pink hairdo and giant silver High heels.
THAT was a Sight.
Most of the Caesars guests were our age, and all had Looks on their faces like………. WHAT???
Dumb. Whoever booked him was way Off the mark.
They could have stayed with the Motown band all night, and saved their Money on the ACTS.
We enjoyed the Dinner, Filet Mig & Lobster. Primo Wine, fabulous mult-plated desserts. Yum.
I was fading. so 11:30 we went up to our Room to watch the Fireworks out our window.
Yes, it was freezing outside. Felt sorry for the people ON the strip. Looked too cold to us.
So watching from our room was great. Took Lots of pictures of the Firewors on T.I.,
Venetian and Strat. Terrrific display.
At the Finale, there were so many fireworks going off, you could FEEL the Vibration on the windows………
so when the fireworks stopped? You could hear Car alarms going off all around town! LOL
We hit the hay right afterward, but between noise from other rooms, and fighting my head cold,
I slept like dog poop. Kept waking up, and trying to go back to sleep………
ended up oversleeping til 10 am!!!!! That’s LATE for us.
Plus we had planned to hook up with Dan & Barb at Silver for brunch.
Well, we ended up missing early brunch at S., but made it to 11am brunch at Caesars…….
which was just an elevator ride for us. I didn’t know Caesars was having brunch!
That was Very nice as well. Pretty much the same folks as the night before.
It was buffet style but plenty to go around.
I drank A LOT of coffee. Waiter should have just given me the Pot! Lol
Cant remember what we did next? Some gambling I think, more likely, Losing. Theme so far

By mid-afternoon, told hubby we MUST get over to Silverton to do remainder of FP
and see Dan & Barb IF they are able to come over?
They were busy elsewhere, so maybe tomorrow M.
We missed the S. buffet. Ended at 3, but we were still Full from Caesars buffet.
Got my Starbucks, and hit the QQ wheel again. Hubby did too. Me on quarters, him on nickels.
He’s a big gambler, ya know. LOL
Both of us got a few wheels, and I think we came out with alittle S. moolah this time.
That’s ok, will probably lose it at Caesars. Lol Headed back to the Corolla…
I remembered to bring the HOA Sticker for the car that shows you’re an owner,
so you don’t have to be stopped at Front gate Security.
Yeah for me………remembering it for a change…….
Drove thru the neighborhood where the house is, to see how things were going.
Fine, but the palm tree in front yard needs some serious trimming. Palms are down to the ground.
Lets see, Noahcat helped me Weed last year……….you think if I bring a SAW
(in my carryon of course) she will help me trim palm? LOL
Talk about a comedy.

We drove the Corolla over there & valet parked. I’m sure they parked it in Front. Teehee
Why drive instead of Walk? Because its freakin’ freezing. Our Calif. Bods don’t like it

We had about 45mins to play before Vinnies show……….played some VP.
I actually Won a few hundy. That’s ok………..I’m sure I’ll lose it back at Caesars.

Sun. morning we couldn’t decide where to go for breakfast? So just ate at Augustus Café.
No line in Diam. LUV that perk! Charged to room. Paid with hubbys points cuz he never spends his.
Eventually made our way to M. Hubby hadn’t been there,
and I wanted to introduce him into getting the Daily Free Crapola at M.
One of my favorite things to do. Lol
So we self- park the Rolls-olla, and make a beeline to the Players Club booth so he can get his card.
He gets $5 for signup & I got $20 FP on mine.
I get a black long sleeve NYE shirt for him, and we get a sling/backpack as well, so put the shirt inside & head for DW.
I’ve had a dry spell at M, and it continues this trip. Haven’t hit the Deuces in Ages!

Hubby ventures out to play nickel Triple play, and I go around to check out Progressives. They’re all Low. Boooo.
Found a QQ and manage a smallwin on Dimes. I had been playing quarters……….get down,
and switch to dimes & get 2,000 dimes. Yay & Ugh.
I had been texting Dan & Barb to let them know we would be hitting the M buffet around 3pm.
By 2:30 were hungry & begin standing in THE dreaded LINE.
Dan sends me a text & sounds like they’re busy playing at E.I. so hubby & I are on our own.
To The Line from HELL. Took FOREVER
Hubby had enough points on his Card for the Free buffet & I had my Voucher
(with NO line pass Took almost AN HOUR AND A HALF, til we were Finally seated.
Never again wait in that line!
Left M. Did alittle more sightseeing on the way back to Caesars, and its our Last night. Sigh.
Figure the Rolls-Olla had one more Highlight left in her..........we Valeted at Cosmopolitan! LOL

Anywho, we really LIKED this Prop. You probably already read my review, elsewhere.
Gorgeous architecture, and except for the ADULT theme in the Lobby, I recommend it to Adults
and NOT bring the kids. This is NOT a Disney Hotel. Be forewarned parents.

We hit Caesars casino, and hubby has alittle luck on single line quarters playing DW, gets the deuces.
I’m playing next to him, breaking even.
The dollar machines are calling my name, so I say bye. He goes to the room before me.
I go up after him about 30 mins later. I’m DOWN to only $150 left, something like that.
Feeling like the Biggest Loser.
I’m in room, watching TV & doze off. I wake up startled, saw a jackpot in my eye.....On STP. Huh?
Told hubby, I gotta go back downstairs. I just saw a jackpot, but I can’t tell you what it is til I see if it comes true? Lol
Well, he KNOWS me and says………..See ya later. LOL
So I put my shoes back on……….its about 11pm, and I’m TIRED, but I gotta find the STP
that’s calling my name………I find it.
And a man sits down right before I get the chance! WHAT? You want me to go Vinnie on your Head? Lol
That’s what I’m thinking…………..figure that machine isn’t meant to be..........
So I head for the Dollar bank by the Restrooms by High limit, and sit at the machine where
the Lady next to me (last night) had hit. I was like the Thorn between 2 roses last night....
Both machines on each side of me were Flashing Jackpots! And my machine was Suck up.
Tonight, Her machine is MINE. I get out my Last hundy, and begin to play different games.
I tried almost all of them. Up down, up down, back to DDB.
Hold 2 Aces, and up come the other 2 with a kicker. $2,000. YAY!!!! My first w2g of 2011.
I take a picture of it & email to hubby & JM. Then I TEXT hubby to LOOK at the Email. Lol
Well, after I collect, and feeling better about my dream……….I go looking for that STP again.
The darn MAN is still playing there. Grrrrrrrrrrrr
I go and waste a few hundys playing other games, til I finally decide, I can’t wait anylonger.

Went back to room, and that was enough play for this trip. Got my moolah back from Caesar. Yay!
Next morning (Monday) was an Early one. We had an 8 am flight back, and hubby was going to work.
Luckily we both had our cars at the airport back home.
Gased up the Corolla, and returned it to Avis. Easy peasy.
Security/TSA was alittle FUNNY this time. No Line…………but I had a total of 8 lbs of Coffee in my carryon?!!? lol
Told the TSA lady the story of my $50 worth from Silverton, and got 4 more at 7* Caesars. Lol
She was very nice……….had to Swab the bag & run it thru the scanner again after she inspected it.
We were at our gate plenty early. Grab some Starbucks oatmeal, and relax.
Boarding on our plane, we Look out the window to see……………its SNOWING. What???
Half hour later were getting our plane De-Iced. Never had THAT happen in Vegas before?
So we Touched down alittle late getting back home, but all in all a really Fun trip.
Got a lot of adventure packed into a Long weekend.
Wish I wasn’t fighting a cold, but its hard to dodge that bullet this time of year.
Now, I got a sinus infect., but the antibiotic should be kicking in anytime now.
Gotta get better soon. I got a Date with a ‘Cat Next week!

Next morning (Monday) was an Early one. We had an 8 am flight back, and hubby was going to work.
Luckily we both had our cars at the airport back home.
Gased up the Corolla, and returned it to Avis. Easy peasy.
Security/TSA was alittle FUNNY this time. No Line…………but I had a total of 8 lbs of Coffee in my carryon?!!? lol
Told the TSA lady the story of my $50 worth from Silverton, and got 4 more at 7* Caesars. Lol
She was very nice……….had to Swab the bag & run it thru the scanner again after she inspected it.
We were at our gate plenty early. Grab some Starbucks oatmeal, and relax.
Boarding on our plane, we Look out the window to see……………its SNOWING. What???
Half hour later were getting our plane De-Iced. Never had THAT happen in Vegas before?
So we Touched down alittle late getting back home, but all in all a really Fun trip.
Got a lot of adventure packed into a Long weekend.
Wish I wasn’t fighting a cold, but its hard to dodge that bullet this time of year.
Now, I got a sinus infect., but the antibiotic should be kicking in anytime now.
Gotta get better soon. I got a Date with a ‘Cat Next week!
