newbie trip day 1 "downtown"

We got in to Las Vegas early 930am. We were greeted at the terminal by the limo guy from presidential. He was very nice and we had a good trip the the golden nugget. We dropped out stuff off and were starving. We headed over to 4 queens and used the 2 for 1 at Magnolias. It was what you would except from a 24/7 cafe. The used the free play also as a new member I got a free ace and $10 mp coupon. I also bought the win card $10 for $15. Won $21 on the free play and lost $15 at black jack. My friend went up for a nap (rookies also note he is 4 years younger). Went over to vegas club won on the $5mp and ended up $10. I also got $5 for new memeber and used the $5mp acg lost that. Then headed over to the Golden Gate and lost $40 including the $25 mp. After that my friend woke up from his "nap". I took him over to use the free play coupon at Las Vegas club. He ended up $17. Off to El Cortez. We sued the free play acg there (forgot about the lva coupon crap!!) I ended up getting up to $20 and cashing out. My friend lost quickly. Hit the craps table for a few mins to kind of show him how it is played. Won $5 there. Finally hit the bj tables to get his feet wet there. Ended up $35 at bj. Time to go back to the hotel to get ready to head to the mirage. We have Gabriel Iglesias tickets.

Used the 2 for 1 for the cravings at the mirage. It was ok. IMO they have lots of food types but not a lot of any type. Would rather have fewer country's or styles of food with more choices of those styles then what they offer now. (hope that makes sense). Lost about $40 killing time gambling. Time for the show. The show was almost 3 hours long!! It was really good. They had 4 people before Gabriel even game out then he stayed for over an hour. It was a blast. It ran so long we had to take a cab instead of the bus back to downtown. Only cost $20 which is less then I thought. I had been up for 24 hours straight time for bed.

Forgot to note we stayed at the golden nugget downtown. Gold tower typical hotel room nothing great. Comfy beds.

Please excuse any typos or grammer issues doing this on the run. Its time to check out and head to MB the hotel. All and all only lost about $60 in gambling. Saved about $35 on food with coupons.
Bummer you forgot the 2nd coupon at El Co...and surprised you didn't eat at The Flame for dinner (one of our very favorites). Nice day one. Thanks!
Thanks for the report.Isn't Gabriel good?I saw him in California in Dec. and really had a great time.

A couple of weeks ago at ElCo (and the year before) they indicated that you can't play them both (ACG and LVA) on the same day. So you would have had o come back the next day to use the second Freeplay coupon anyway.
