Nov 16 - 19. Gold Coast, Palms, Double Down

We (Showtime Sports) had our monthly combat at the Pearl Theater in the Palms on Friday the 18th. Flew in on Wed the 16th. Three quarters of the crew were booked across the street at Gold Coast- I was one of them.

Comments & observations:

-I was put in Room 1045. Top floor. It's an old two room suite that is clearly showing it's age, but it was super clean and had plenty of room and a nice Palms/City view.

-I love the window in the shower that you can open and look at the Strip.

-Made the drive out to Hoover Dam and the new Hoover Dam Bridge. Very cool.

-Dinner at Binion's Steakhouse. Always very good. Great views and groovy old school charm.

-Excellent fights. Excellent TV.

-The Double Down at midnight on Friday was extra rowdy. Live Bands. Plenty of booze. Rock n' Roll!

-Hit one W2 at the Gold Coast.

-TGI Fridays is dreadful. Absolutely terrible. To be avoided at all cost- even free.

-Ping Pang Pong is very good and very fun. Don't miss it. It's in the Gold Coast.

-Customer service at the Palms is still diabolical. 20-something hippsters who have ZERO idea of why they were hired or what being in customer service means. An absolute F-.

-Alamo rental car was fast & easy. Super new Nissan Altima.

-Crazy windy in Vegas Friday night.

-Where the hell did they find the 1,254,235,458,745 rocks that line the freeways in Las Vegas?

-Red Rock Casino is nice, very nice.

Congratulations on your very nice Four 4s With Kicker hit and yes, it can get very very windy in LV. I've been there more than once when that happened and it definitely was not pleasant (and those winds can also set off my Sinuses)!

S582- that was my first time at PPP. I had always heard good things. I will be back!

RVP- I walked from the Palms to GC (100 yards) at 11 pm Friday night and the winds were crazy. People were driving slow, debris was everywhere, signal lights were rocking & swaying! Real fun trip.

You flew in 16th, and I was suppose to fly out on 16th, But stayed at RR til 17th.
They just couldn't drag me out of the room. lol
Actually had fun there, so took my later return flight.
Would have had a winning trip IF I hadn't stayed at Harrahs first. lol
Sometimes it works out the other way around, so ya never know.

Anyway, catch ya one of these days.
And Yes GLAD I got out of there before the Winds began on Friday!!!
