Hmmm...wonder where we should go for breakfast? Got one more 2fer at Ellis Island in the pouch - so, why not?
Today is also moving day. We wanted to get breakfast, get back, get packed and get going!
I opted for pancakes and sausage at the cafe. Adequate, but not as good as the bacon and eggs platter. Mr. T stayed w/the old standby and as usual was well pleased.
We got the bill and after coupon it came to about ten bucks. For the fun of it, we gave the gal our player’s cards and surprisingly we each had about $2 in comps on them. We applied the small savings to make it an even more incredible value.
Love. Love. Love, EI !

It's our last day on the strip, and I've found some random photos not posted yet. I believe this is one of our many walks through Bellagio.

A unique way to panhandle I suppose
Ok, now back to my story. We’d been gradually sleeping in later and later as the days wore on, so by the time we’d returned from breakfast it was well after 10am. Hustled to get ourselves ready and made it out the door by 11. Dropped the keys in the express checkout box at Bally’s, chugged with our luggage to Bill’s, and caught the shuttle over to Orleans where we were booked for 2 nights on a comp.
We arrived just before noon and were greeted with a very long line. I noticed lots of basketball players (high school aged) hanging around. Later saw signs up asking them not to dribble in the hallways - cute.
I let Mr. T wait in line while I jumped on my laptop in the lobby. Free wi-fi available and I got to work catching up on email, facebook, and the like.
Surprisingly, the room was ready and we were given a nice King room on the 6th floor with a distant view of the strip.

I snapped some pictures of both our “view” and the spacious room. If you look at the bottom left corner of the photo, you’ll notice Big T examining a $10 MP coupon we received at check in.
I’ll say this about the Orleans, they offer well appointed, clean, and most importantly COMFORTABLE accommodations especially at the bargain basement price of $6 (resort fee) per day. Five sheets!
We’re all checked in and unpacked and decide to hang at the casino for awhile. Played a little of this, a little of that, mostly bonus poker VP and then noticed the electronic craps game here and $1 minimum bet. Sweet. They do not offer points though for this game. Sour.
We decided this is what we’d end our night playing.
It got a little gloomy and actually rained for a few minutes. After the rainfall we decided we’d like to try walking over to Gold Coast/Rio/Palms. I asked the valet how far it was to Palms Place. He said exactly one mile. No problemo - especially with a little cloud cover.
The smell of fresh rain on the Vegas pavement was pleasing and the walk to Palms took almost no time at all. We screwed around in there for a short while on the multi-play, full pay JOB machines near the food court. Cashed out even; then headed over to Rio where I promptly lost $17.50 on some short pay VP - eeked out an order for two ultras then slinked away as soon as the drinks came.
Next stop, Gold Coast: two more beers and a $9 loss and now it’s 4:00. We’d been eating dinner pretty late all week, but for some reason, I found myself to be quite hungry at that very moment. I begged Big T to get in line with me for the buffet. He didn’t want to eat, but relented.

Another 4OAK at Gold Coast, but not enough to make it a winning session
The line was long (prime rib night) and it was well past 4:30 by the time we were actually seated. Their prime rib was very good along with everything else. I was kind of sick of the GC buffet though (our 3rd time through) but hey, when it’s free, everything tastes better.

Eat or be eaten at the AYCE Gold Coast Buffet!
We hopped the shuttle back to Orleans and settled in for the night, just as planned, at the craps table. This is a pretty popular game no matter where you go (especially with $1 minimums). Mr T and I were not able to get seats next to each other, but across from each other, which left me unable to monitor his reckless betting choices. Big Mistake.
I threw in a hundred, he threw in a hundred, and the games began.
16 beers later I’m making quite a spectacle of myself whenever it’s my turn to be shooter: spinning around on my chair, hands in the air, clapping ‘round the table, banging the big red button with my forehead, elbows, and even an exposed left butt cheek at one point - crapped out on that one.
In the end, gambling conservatively on pass line, odds, and come bets, I cash out my hundred at $108. Big T, however, with his foolish bets on the field, hard sixes and hard eights, brings us down $55. Couple that with ANOTHER loss on the MP coupon and we’re into the Orleans 65 big ones. Blech.
I’d had my “ultra” ass kicked enough for one night - so off to bed we stumbled.
