Background: Wifey and I go to Vegas every Fall..We enjoy Football and the comfortable weather. We arent fine diners or spa treatment people. We enjoy the shows, food and non stop action. We are 40somethings from NJ. We go to AC for a night a few times a year but nuttin compares to Sin City. We like to try new places/ things to do each time we go as well as some must-do each time we visit. We enjoy VP/ $1 Slots/betting NFL. This trip was for 7 nights 11-4 to 11-11..We stay on the strip/Harrahs for half the week then move to The Orleans and slow the pace down for R&R. This is the first time writing a TR and adding pics..I apoligize if it is Fd up...
Fri 11/4
We both go to work early and leave our jobs by 3pm. We take 45 min drive to Philly Airport for 6:15pm non-stop flight to McCarron. American Airlines now offers free internet/movies for smartphones and tablets thru their GO GO App. Watched 2 movies and landed 4.5 hours later. We are comped 4 nights at Harrahs(comped) There are no lines at taxi stand. We did not get tunneled ($25 w tip). Check-in was done in 2 minutes by using new check in kiosk (needed CC and DL). The check in line had about 40 waiting. Very convenient! We hit the floor and wife hits for 1K on her fourth spin on $1 Quick Quads and I hit 4Aces for $800 a few minutes later..helluva start!!! I hit another quad for $250 a little while later. We called it quits and crashed after a long day working and traveling. We were both happy going to bed as we both had some big hits. We know its peaks and valleys while grinding away gambling but enjoyed starting off hot.

Sat 11/5
Slept in, went downstairs and had breakfast wraps at Fulton Street Market. We wore shorts as forecast was low 80s for the day. We walked around/people watched/gambled the midstrip area. During the mid afternoon we watched The Whipits a 80s cover band at Carnival Court. They are a blast and lead guitar player is off the hook. Guess he likes the color pink (see socks and guitar). He has a schtick going that he and band are from Dusseldorf Germany and he talks with a german accent. We ran into the dude later that night and he really is from Texas and is a nice guy.

We had dinner at Lombardis in the Miracle Mile Shops. Excellent Pasta dishes, good service and reasonable prices. We chose this place because we had tickets for across the way at V Theater to see Las Vegas Live Comedy Show. ( BOGO) the show was little over hour with three comediens. The headliner Edwin San Juan was very good.
The Britney Spears show was letting out at the Axis Theater at PH. We saw her having a drink right outside the show (wink wink)

Coming back we stopped at Paris to gamble and saw a guy who won 10K on a penny machine who was jumping around and yelling and calling people on his cell yelling “ I just won $10,000!!” Next we stopped at OSheas, the place was going nuts the bartenders were throwing napkins in the air. All kinds of security around. The band stopped playing and announced that someone just won a million dollars play Three Card Poker.
After a long day we called it a day around midnite. We were up and down gambling. A lot of action going on this day.
Sun 11-6
Got up early for NFL viewing. We went to Tilted Kilt at the Linq for the 10am games. We had Irish breakfast and a bloodymarys Great place to watch sports with servers wearing their scantily clad outfits. Betting wise I didn’t do so well but enjoyed watching the games and playing VP. My NY Giants held on to win my bet.

.
My wife only put in one bet and ended up winning big. I myself studied all week and didn’t do to well. She plays Fantasy Football and knows the game pretty well. She put about 5 minutes in figuring out her $50 four team parlay and won $650.00.

We had tickets that night to see Micheal Jackson ONE Cirque Show at Mandalay Bay. We decided to have dinner there before the 930pm show. We were going to try UBER for the first time and it was phenomenal. We put in our request on our smartphone and had a driver there in 5 minutes. The cost was $8.32 from Harrahs to Mandalay Bay. The driver was pleasant and said he does it on weekends to make extra money. He said basically he parks his car on Koval and Dean Martin and waits for a request and does very well. He didn’t want to accept a tip because he said it is built into the price but we insisted. Needless to say we used UBER for the rest of the trip and will continue in future trips with the price being half of what taxis charge. He asked us to give him a good rating on the UBER app and we obliged.
We had dinner at the RX Boilerroom at MB. It is an Irish Pub style place, had burgers and couple brews for $60..good stop
I wasn’t to hip on going on going to the show but wifey was dying to go. Marriage is give and take, so what the hell. The Michael Jackson show was great. We grew up in the 80s and regardless of what he did or didn’t do in his personal life we appreciated him as an entertainer. One of the dancers in the show had one leg and crutches and kept up with everyone else in the show. He even had a solo for a few minutes. We got the cheapest seats in the back and they were fine. Overall a great Cirque stage production show.

Mon 11-7
We slept in late. My body was sore from all the walking we were doing so we started out with a message located at the bottom of the elevators. I got The Weekender ($30) it was 15 minutes and well worth it.

We hopped on Duece (not crowded, weekend is over) and went to Peppermill for lunch and a Scorpion at the Fireside Lounge in the back. Wierd scene going on in the lounge. There was two middleaged couples making out/dry humping each other in their booths at noontime!? (get a room) Our waitress said this is common at night time but a little strange so early in the day..Vegas Baby

We hopped back on the Duece and got off at NYNY to check out the Park. I don’t know what all the hype is all about a couple of indoor/outdoor eating places? We had tickets to see Fredrick DeSilva mentalist show at Ballys at 4pm (bogo) a good afternoon show about a hour long. After the show we had a Lobster Rolls at LobsterMe in Miracle Mile shops..good stop.
Next we went to Nepoleans Lonuge at Paris to see Vegas lounge legend Cook E Jarr 6pm show. We usually make sure when we go to Vegas to see his show. He does songs from the 50s to the present. He is a piece of work and remembers us when we see him. Truly a great 2 hours of free entertainment.
