The pre-surgical, wayward wallet, meet my brother and hit a royal trip

I would have had the coronary the moment I realized I forgot my wallet, or in my case, my purse! Heavens, a 15 minute flight delay to LV has me reaching for medication (otherwise known as Momma's Little Helpers!), let alone delaying departure until the next day. Kudos to you for handling it so well!

Sounds like a wonderful, profitable, trip. Congrats! And best thoughts to your wife, I too had a similar scare last week and it ended up not being a big deal at all. I'm confident hers will be similar and you will be jetting back to our favorite city in no time!

I also wish the best outcome for your wife's situation- Early detection being key. Take care of each other...but I see you both do that very well.

We appreciate everyone's kind words.
Unfortunately the DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) was not able to be completely removed during the lumpectomy and we have elected to have a mastectomy.
This is obviously a very difficult decision for Sonya however she is convinced that it is the right one. One of the unexpected blessings is the community of women that we have discovered who have gone down this road before us. They are a wealth of information and comfort.
Sonya's sister will be coming to stay with us during this (hopefully) final surgery scheduled for May 10. Luckily Sonya will apparently not need radiation or chemo afterward.
Once cancer free she will decide on what reconstruction options might work.
We look forward to putting this behind us and writing more about our trips to Las Vegas.
We are planning on a Harrah's junket to Saint Louis in late June we we'll provide updates after that trip.
