Quick LV Trip, June 29-July 1st

Sounds like a fun trip Edso.  The Tuscany has always had good food.  It would be nice if LVA could get the 2 for 1 back..We always went over to play and eat when they still had the mexican resaurant.  Thanks for the report.

On Sundays you can get 50% off of food or gift shop when you use your comps.  On Tuesday they have free 14" pepperoni or cheese pizzas at Marilyn's Cafe when you earn 600 points.  If your playing anyway, free pizza isn't a bad deal. 

Sounds like a nice weekend For August visit. Weekdays at Ellis Island half off meals.Monday though Thursday 4p-7p times.Its a pardon the dust promo. Of course Ellis Island not for everyone.We love the BBQ.Glad you and wife did well.

That Ellis Island deal is great, but when in Vegas that 4 to 7 window is sometimes hard to hit.  With traffic and the construction you need to get there early and get out , or try to sneak in at 630.  We always use the LVA coupon over there, and will try to squeeze in a half offer 4 to 7, but  it sounds easier than it is .

The server told me to keep LVA coupon for another time.Unfortunately we went on our last day heading for airport.Not going back this year.Going on Canada train trip in September.Las Vegas next year.

My guess is that you'll have no chance of getting in there unless you arrive at, like, 3 pm and are willing to stand in line. The locals will swarm this one.

That said, I'd almost do it for the BBQ. You can't use the LVA coupon for a half off if you're dining alone, so I usually just look around and give it to a couple who looks a bit worn down.

The steak special is great, but I never make it past the BBQ joint. You get a tremendous meal for about 2/3 the cost of similar meals at other BBQ joints, especially when you use the play $5 get $3 off coupon.

Patricia, I've heard from many people that those train trips are a blast. Unlike our sickly Amtrak, which only offers uncomfortable, delay-ridden slogs through the dusty plains, Canadian rail trips are comfortable and scenic.

Just don't tell them you're an American. Say "eh" a lot.

That's so true. It's the "eh" that gives me away every time.  The Rocky Mountain train trip is really nice!
