Quickie Trip for GGwrapup........and nice outcome......

GGwrapup DONE. Fun quickie trip.
Arrived Thurs night 11Pm, after arrival & Dollar rental car & drive to check in at Ballys. Yes, N. Tower.
Played alittle after check in then went to Room. pooped.

Barely used my Ballys room & sucked in casino when I did play.
Played only on Hubbys card cuz he has only 2k Tier so far. I'm over 11 so Diam. already.

Friday (yesterday morning) went to Flamingo about 10am for GGwrapup.
Very well done. LOTS of Helpers to explain items.
I checked out the catalog before arrival, so already had a nice item figured out.
Giving "the kids" Emeril pots/pans set. retails $300 ish.
Had enuf for $10 Starbucks card. lol Anyway, went fine. Same as years past.

Noonish, Went out to M & played $40 FP, lost & lost some more. Tone of the trip so far,
but its virtually a One day trip..........at least I thought so.........

After M, Fri. afternoon, heading back to Ballys & I'm driving thru In N Out burger.
During that time Southwest texted me that my 8:45pm Flight was going to be delayed til 10pm.
That means after drive home..........1am + ? No thanks.

So I called Southweest asap, and if you are delayed an hour, they will rebook you whatever time you want
without extra charge. I knew by looking that Sat. flights were going for $250 which is astronomical.
(My Fri. night flight I got for $79. So unless it was on their dime, I was going to wait it out.
Didn't need to.)

I asked what Nonstops were available Sat morning? 8:50am or 12:35pm. TOOK 12:35pm, cuz didn't
want to set alarm clock. (too tired) Had my room til Sat. So ended up using it!
Called Dollar & extended my car a day. No biggie.

So what to do? I'm losing..........but I need to do SOMETHING...........a Show?

Called 800# on backside of my MLife card & was told I had $130 in Express comps.
I asked if I could get a ticket to Lewis Black that night (last night) YES, $79 of Exp comps
so saw show for free. (hes hecka funny, but the bleeps are Non-stop, 2-3 per sentence, yowza)

Soooooooo..........After InN Out, and all my phone calls.......
Drove straight to Mirage, in some of the WORST Traffic. I think it took 40 mins!

Played at Mirage & saw the Most Cigar smokers EVER! YUCK!
Turns out they were having a Cigar Afficianado conference. Ickypoo!

I tried to play my Deuces quarter Prog. which was over $1,600, but a Stogie smoker was stinking me out!
I took that as a sign.........and headed for the other quarter prog. that was Also over $1,600.

Sat down, and played about 10 mins & my machine wasn't doing squat. Got up, and moved too a
different one, next to a nice lady from Ireland who just hit a 4oak. I congratulated her, and
she seemed surprised at that. lol

Shortly thereafter.........I mean like 2 mins later, while playing TDB,
I hit a quarter RF $1,620- It was freakin' awesome!
Irish lady was very sweet & congratulated me back.
Held 3 diamonds, & bam, other two. To be honest, I was shocked.
Really wasn't expecting it that fast.

So bankroll BACK, and I'm all set for Grazie Gifts next weekend & a tourney at GVR.
Gonna stay there I think.

Its Quickie trip time for me, got home at 4:00pm today (Sat.)

Back in the saddle end of the week. Adios.

As for going to Mirage from In N' Out, which one were you at and how did you get to Mirage from there?

I'm asking this question because unless you took it, you probably would have gotten to Mirage faster by going through Dean Martin/Industrial and going through the back way (unless you went by way of the Strip).

Well now I'm heading out this afternoon (Sunday) and I'm leaving LV on Thursday afternoon (11/15).

Too bad I missed you and will miss you on both ends of your visits.

Rec- I think you have already left........but Traffic was BAD ALL directions! I know all the side streets,
and backroads & tried them all. lol
You wouldn't believe the trek I took.

Candy- I don't know whats the deal with all the stogies, but there oughta be a LAW. HATE as jenifer would say.
But like I said.......I LOOK for signs, and that stogie MADE me leave that DW bank of machines,
so did much better where it sent me.

I was thankful for the extra day too.
