I had my “Cosmo” at The Cosmo, and have been waiting years to be able to say that.
Leaving home Saturday around the same time I planned to arrive set the tone for this trip. Hardly anything went to plan.
Driving over the new bridge (Hoover Dam bypass) is anti- climactic. Had there not been signs that said “do not stop on bridge,” I would not have realized I was driving on a bridge. I expected the same “wow” feeling I had the first time I drove over the Golden Gate bridge.
5 days of rain in Vegas sucks.
I repeat, 5 days of rain in Vegas sucks.
Meeting up with different friends in different locations rocked. Had I not had tickets to The Nutcracker Wed., I would have come home on Monday. My bankroll wishes I came home on Monday. My apologies to anyone I missed meeting on Thursday. After 5 days of rain, I was ready to leave town.
Thanks to the rain, snow, flooded & closed roads, my plans to play tourist and tour areas away from casinos didn’t happen.
I’m too old to function on 7 hours of sleep in 2 days and pull an all-niter. However, the good bubbly at Sterling Brunch helped cure the hangover. Before anyone says “It’s Vegas.” I got home late Friday, had 4 hours of sleep, & had a ton of stuff to do before leaving including packing. I threw whatever into suitcases and hoped for the best. Vegas is historically slow the week before Christmas. I get why the Cosmopolitan was busy Sat. night, however, so was everything else. Center strip was packed Wed night as well.
Just once I would like to visit the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign on my way into town, not out.
Bellagio Conservatory was wall to wall people on Sunday. Despite this, mom’s dressed their kids in their holiday finest and appeared to be taking the holiday family Christmas photos. I went back Thursday morning. The rain finally stopped.
Worth repeating again – 5 days of rain in Vegas SUCKS!!!!!
Bartender Shane and my “Cosmo”, 2nd floor, Chandelier Bar.

Dessert Station at Sterling Brunch

Monopoly Man in front of Paris. Lots of people didn't realize he was a live statute and screamed & shrieked when he moved.

Off the 215 on the way to Aliante Station

Admiring the fog over Paris and Planet Hollywood Wed. Afternoon from my room at Ballys

Seeing clear sunny skies Thursday morning
